GFDuke 12-13-2011 07:04 AM

Nice Splave. Is that 9600GT Vmodded?

Splave 12-13-2011 08:15 AM

yep its a matrix 9600gt with vGPU and vMem mods, the vdroop is crazy and i believe if I knew more about electronics it would be even better. 1.56v drops to 1.49v on load lol.

Witchdoctor 12-14-2011 07:29 AM

You make it look easy bro ...........

Splave 12-14-2011 11:48 AM

^ but its really not lol I suspect alot of cheating in the hardware leagues. Im lucky to have this chip... Drivers seem to make a crazy amount of difference too

I flashed my old a8n-sli to a deluxe, that had more options. Might be able to do the same thing :)

LOl I'm dumb as fuck. The Celerons are S775 not 939. I'll have to get out the 780i. I have a A8N Deluxe and a A8N Premium for 939 and i found a vmod. Now i gotta go buy some 939s. lol

kikicoco1334 12-14-2011 02:02 PM

I got a DFI 939 board and I am super excited to freeze with LN2 didn't seem to do much under dry ice, but now I got the IHS removed [SHOULD] clock a little better. Key part SHOULD!

Also my NF7-S v2.0 it's been sitting there looking at me. I need to find a way to dock my F1EE or the baby F1 G on that sum'bitch
Would the F1EE be too heavy for the chips don't have a IHS on it? Cuz I have cracked a die or two in my time ..... >,.,<

Splave 12-14-2011 03:47 PM

got my GTX8 ram in its pretty :)

I agree, we need to start a Sanctum thread with drivers used for 32 and 64 bit seperated by series and bench so we all are using the best possible driver for each bench to maximize team boints as I was benching a few weeks back using different drivers for almost each bench with a 4870X2...........

Posibly testing a GPU stock clocks and setting a static CPU speed for each socket to rate them so all posts are on an even playing field, over time we could come up with the best possible drivers ..... now I basically look at what the top guys are using but it is squed due tother clocks, I have been looking at the lowest clock in the top ten to bin drivers as it were

That's a great idea but I don't got that much time to test it would take me months just for one card lol

But having more then one test one card can speed it up :)

So I did my first SB Ln2 session last night an it was a complete fail. I know SB dont scale on Ln2 that much, but I wasnt able to beat anything I did on air. Raising vcore, vccio or cpu pll
didnt help. It seemed like the cold handicapped me. The mount was good upon taredown, that was my only suspension of what could have been the issue.
So can you have a crap chip that max's out on air?

in my experience yes, on my 2600k i cant get 5.6 unless its on the ss but on water i can get 5.5

so its not much more oc i can get on cold

on the ss i can run 4c8t on water i cant so thats the big advantage

Splave 12-18-2011 05:59 AM

Hey gutters what temps?

I use
1.685 core
.85 vccsa
1.125 vccio
1.5 vpll
1.75 dimm

Right around -30c on ln2
What kinda codes you getting?
Sometimes it will say oc failed but will keep the speed and press f1 to bios then esc out without saving changes and it boots.

Gutterz 12-18-2011 06:27 AM

I tried from -15c to -90c I didnt notice any codes when it says OC failed.
It does a OC fail once every boot cycle maybe twice but then will boot with same settings run fine then. That can happen even on a 4200mhz overclock too not just max clock.

These are my max air settings
104 bclock
54x
vcore 1.57
vccsaio 1.11875 vccsa an vccio are tied together on the z as far ad I read. ???
Dram 1.65
cpu pll 1.8125

Here is a bios shot of the Digi VRM/Power tab are these rite?
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...1218110708.jpg

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...1218110649.jpg

The rest of my settings

MaadDaawg 12-18-2011 07:56 AM

definately want to enable the extreme tweaking.

I also enable my bandwidth booster though I don't know if it helps or not :Dizzy:

I usualy do have extreme tweaking enabled. But that only enables the tool from windows to work correct?

Patch 12-18-2011 09:40 AM

Gutterz, try this:

D/C overtemp protection
Lower your vpll to 1.5-1.65v
Increase dram to 1.7-1.75v+
Increase PCHv to the first yellow or the hightest white level
