I had that same issue with the ss Scott built me.. I bought a 1366 mount kit from newegg, and the inner mounts were pefrect to bolt to the head as an adapter... I'll look it up and link it asap

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835708049 I don't use the backplate, just the top brackets ;) |

|
I might somewhere.... I have is dismantled atm because I am not using it until the compo is over....
I'll look around my hdd's and see if there is a pic stashed in there. |
I'm wondering if I can apply the same technique to my cascade head to get better contact than this delapidaded clam hole.
|
ahh i see, those pegs fit into the 775 holes and then it gives you the 1366 spaced holes?
|
yup... I had to hit up the hardware store for the proper length bolts to mount it with... Works like a charm
 |
well newegg sent me the wrong kit:ohcrap:
But I just had the OC bug so I strapped the thing to a REX and dropped my 8700 in there for the 2k1 pwnage. Only to find out my old REX XP install disk was corrupt and during installation windows for some reason kept freezing (all stock settings on ram/cpu). SO long story short I got jack shit done:thumbdown:, but the cade held the 8700 @ 6.15ghz 1.7v at -100. Im hoping for a 6.5+ 2k1 chip:thumbsup: |
try swapping IDE or AHCI mode....we had the same problem...
