I mean great arch... but full of failure too for overclockers. How many died here? How many lost cores? I don't recall that on previous Intel chips and just never heard of it on AMD. I killed a Q6600 though and those were tanks :) My first 920 ran 4.65 its entire life... second ran it and beyond and then became a desktop cruiser.. so hard to say if it was a tank... I could still pull 4.7Ghz when I needed to... so yes? My first extreme OC boot on SB was 52X... first blue screen I got when pushing BCLK... 51X was new max multi... (I only just realized it or I would have posted it sooner) |

Every time I get up to 4.8GHz it seems everything gets unstable. Is there a setting that controls video somewhere like pci-e frequency? Somehow I think that is what is holding it up. Once over 4.7GHz during boot up the screen goes haywire...after that I can never get the OS to boot again. http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/q...olution001.jpg http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/q...olution002.jpg http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/q...olution003.jpg |

 bios settings? |
|
Uploader would not work - had to use Photobucket. I have tried full auto to full manual on nearly all settings and still come up against this wall. I have not yet flashed the bios...I don't understand why this mb acts the way it does and don't want to flash until I understand the reason. To even try again I will have to re-install a OS. Have you tried Load-line calibration at the low setting? |
