You sold the gigabyte!! I thought you were going to stay on f4j forever.
From what I have seen those, unless you are on a ss, your not going to reach higher clocks on a classified. Those things tear it up with a semi decent multiplier and high bclk. |

what's your handle at XS tajoh? I needed a D0 desperately and fund wise, the Giga got me enough to pay for it straight up so I bit the bullet. I miss it. Very finesse type board and super efficient. |
Sorry I don't know the phrase, but i guess you are asking me what do I think of XS now. I think's it not a bad community(but it is getting worse) but too much hate for nvidia, and too much love for AMD. Its like people want NV to go the way of the dodo.
But man, the gigabyte wall of 222bclk is felt so hard with a 21x multiplier its not even funny. D0 are so much funner to bench than c0 so I understand the need to make money, but reverandmaynard, you had a good c0 from what i remember. And you loved the gigabyte. Mine was moderately ok, I could bench at 4.3 ghz with HT on, but now I can bench with 4.66ghz which is the limit because of the wall. The classifieds are not the most efficient from what i have seen, but get it cold and you can use a high multiplier and a high bclk. I hope you get that classified under cold. I have seen way too many canadian buy the classified and just use air which is a complete waste because they are way too temp limited to get the most out of the board. |
haha, actually I was asking what your name was at XS, but I've noticed it's the same. Sorry about the confusion, but your points are well spoken..it's not the same there.
That C0 was a beast, I'm surprised you remembered it. Topped out at 4.577ghz but she had a weak IMC so it couldn't handle 2:10. I'm not interested in the Classified, this vanilla X58 does me well enough got now so when DFI brings out a proper board, I'll hit it for some action. |
