well lets put it this way... i have matched chuch's pifast exactly.... as for spi 8m I am about .32 behind..... Must find efficiency...


Oh and I will be first to admit new graveyard parts to this battle....

Killed one of my good kingston hyper sticks lol....

Fired this POS EVGA Micro mobo up just to find out there is not one option to overclock!!! Went ahead and ordered a new mobo for this contest. Hopefully I don't fall too far behind the next two days because I won't be up and running Intel until Friday now. :(

Got that right. Tired of being the captain of the sidelines and watching everybody score. Been almost a year since I left the benching scene. Have a feeling I'll be picking up one of Vince's new pots within the month. Plan on doing some extensive 2D benching soon as 3D gets to be too expensive.



Question, why are you guys running with 6GB of RAM on a 32bit OS? I mean I've read guys say you get better runs but is there in factual evidence behind this or would you be better off pulling out a stick?

Been using Tiny XP but don't have a 64 bit version...anyone have a source?

I have XP 64 bit version but not the tiny version. Dunno if it exists. Punx swore by XP 64 bit being better in SuperPi awhile back.

Ya 3D isn't cheap and I think 2d if more fun. :) Glad to have you back buddy. I told Kal you were real close to getting back at it. You just had to get a couple "cased" builds under your belt first.

Because the 2GB density modules have been shown to be more efficient than 1GB modules. Plus triple channel is faster than dual. Doesn't really matter once you use maxmem anyways.

You going to get in on some of this action Chuchnit? I tried with my AMDer but it blows balls when it comes to benching against Intel. I just pray this RAM gets here by Saturday as I will be out of town Sunday and Monday for the holiday. Want to get at least a good run or two in. Otherwise it will all have to wait until Tuesday!!!

I just ordered my RAM today, I would oc my 24/7 system but I need to make sure my 555BE survived. Before I worry about killing my i7 rig.

might be seeing some blood coming out of my underware though...

Raid screen after post is starting to show errors now, and adjusting timings is turning the ram into shaky pudding.... I would love to get these timings down to 5-5-5-15, but I don't think it's going to happen.

I'd rather the chip or the mobo go down instead of the ram... These things are epic ;) Here's to hoping!

Nip if you need a board I have 3 sitting here you can use (760, 762, r3e) as well as spare 980x or 920.

Just saying I'm 10 minutes away if you need anything, or just wanna bench for the bot!

can someone look at my score real quick? i have no idea what the hell am i doing wrong.. on my superpi bench the timing is 7-8-8-24 and my pifast bench is 7-8-7-24 and when i use 7-8-7-24 on superpi it's alot slower

All I wanna know is where all this "I suck at super pi" talk has come from all this time? The scores are strong and its just the beginning. Hell I was confident in placing top 2 in this before it started. Now I'll be happy with top 5. Plus the scores are bound to get even better as we keep pushing it. Just to let all you fookers who say I know alot about pi, best I've got in early testing is 1m 42.xxx. I'll get in the 1m 30s range, but its gonna take some work.


No more saying you suck at super pi for anybody who has submitted a score so far. :smackbum:
