Thanks guys!

Hopefully more to come this weekend with a chip or two I've yet to run with the pot. The 1100T is one and you guys have already seen what it's capable of on H2O... Maybe it'll like the cold, maybe not.

Beauty!

Outstanding laboratory.

As a hands on mechanic, I admire the woodwork.

Inspiring photography.

Saitek keyboard feeds my nostalgia.

I miss the frost.

I need the frost.

I am the frost.

Hmmm, looks like OCM's blown cap, lololol. Awesome :)

Love the plywood triangle bracing the fatty. Looks like the perfect thickness. Must have just felt right to slide it in place.

Made another pot sometime ago and it's gotten it's share of attention since it's based on commonly available materials and works great.
Witchy has seen it already, figured it should be shown here too.

Here's a few teaser shots for ya.

Here's a little more on how I made the pot.
Of course I didn't leave it as you saw it. The entire assembly is lightweight yet strong since the tube is very thick, being it came from a bat. Since I made it I've had the base MIG'ed to the tube to complete the construction and made a mounting plate that sits on top, not bonded to the tube as originally shown.

I've also reconfigured the base itself having trimmed it up a little so it has a better fit onto the board when mounted. Had some clearance issues but trimming it fixed those problems yet it still has enough mass to be effective.
The base itself is 3/4 inch thick solid aluminum so yes, it has plenty of mass to it.

Can't tell from the pics, wuts the plexi hold-down grabbing? Just the outer insulation?

Bones 07-22-2015 06:01 PM

Had ran a bead of JB Weld around it to hold the plexiglass but know plexiglass isn't too good for this use.
After the piece had cracked I made a mounting plate that sits on top of the pot made so I can still stuff DICE in while holding pressure to the pot.

Kal-EL 07-22-2015 07:21 PM

slick moves with the beads.

Testers agree, more photos the better.
