That's pretty amazing you have the 2x gpu and the cpu in the loop and the water stays that cold. How hot does the cpu get fully loaded, and what waterblock are you using? I need to get a new top of the line block, like the EK supreme HF probably.

She sure knows how to take a load :taunt:

CPU is not fully loaded since its 3D with no cpu test. I'll bench 06 today and see what water temp gets too. I do have one rad shoved in the a/c so its getting the coldest air forced through it. Three triple rads total so its a nice amount of water to take the heat load.

Hehehe.........

When I was using the A/C to chill my loop I only had a single rad 120 x 240mm. More water makes a big difference I'm sure, but I need the best block out there also.

Taking the block apart to check for any residual buildup from 2 days usewith a strainer/screen from a paint gun on it.......it's not cooling nearly as well as the night I first installed the stock base plate.

EDIT: I need to design my own base plate that won't get all filled with cat hair etc.....I have a couple nice big copper passive HS. I could make 1 base-plate out of each one. I'll have to get it machined square and flat with 6 holes.......probably be a failed experiment.

Cat hair?

I'm using a Koolance CPU-360

ny_driver 04-09-2011 05:30 AM

......the hair gets everywhere, but I'm keeping my cats. The 360 looks real nice, but the EK supreme is slightly cheaper. Debating....might get an EK supreme LT if I can find one.

Hopefully I will be able to just strain out all the crap and keep using what I have.

EDIT: going to try adding a stretched stocking screen around the paintgun strainer in the reservoir, hopefully it'll still flow ok. The temps were very good the first night I reinstalled the cat-hair/lint free stock base plate.

I'd hate to have to remove the waterblock for cleaning daily.

EDIT: it still flows fine....
