I will be hitting you up soon. My free time is hit and miss still but my plans are slowly stock pile my benching hardware again. Going to be playing with i3 and i5 over the next few weeks. Strictly air runs for now until I score a new pot. What better way though than master my 2d benches but on air.

but im going to try tweaking my os also my spi isnt so good just installed xp today and couldnt get under 1m40 is the lowest i got and pifast same 18.73 over and over i need an easy button to tweak my os for me :D

Andre Yang is banned from Hwbot for 1 year because he made fake benchmarks for a few people and they submitted them for a contest. Futuremark busted their asses. Andre is taking his licks/suspension but will be back with a fury when its done ;)

but yeah about my os i didn't do anything to it at all... all i ever did was never install any updates (i think you people know why :D) and all the icon on there was the software that's in that comptuer other than a virtual software DAEMON virtual CD that's all
then before i started the bench i killed all the things i didn't need in MSCONFIG that's all

Looks like you and I are in the same boat on this one Banik. I finally did manage to get my ram to run cas 6, but with marginal gains so far. What is XMP profile for memory and would it benefit me in these benchs? I'm afraid I am deficient in memory skills. Does anyone see where I might make improvements? Can't seem to go any lower on multi/mem speed and still boot into windows... :Dizzy:

yep i am just gonna try crank up the the FSB to 225 and crank down the multi down to 20 then try something with the ram too... see how that's gonna work

Rick it is XP right? I was just busting balls because you hate XP. The luna themes are nothing special. Right click on desktop>properties>select windows XP theme in the drop down>tab over to the appearance tab>second drop down select silver or olive green.

he's using Rev9 XP iirc, no themes other the defaults :ohcrap:

luna is a default theme. Unless themes were removed during nlite??

I never got better runs using the luna theme back in my SuperPi benching days. Everybody says it is better. Maybe it was because of the OS I was using.

it was removed, by default I mean no theme, just the 98 look.

Nip, benching on Olive has always been better but cycling the themes is where it's at. Check splave's notes, he's tested it extensively with consistent results.
