I tried to get ya in Aquamark this am but no go.
I'll take 5th for now. I get no DirectX settings in RivaTuner for this card? I thought that all cards had direct x in Riva, Oh well. Besides that i need a mem md. I hate this card. Finding the mods for it suck.

duke can you knock you uncore up a notch or 2? You will see a monster gain or try x29 so your ram and uncore is faster. :) ps keep kicking ass man

Go Win7 Duke and enable all cores, but not HT. You'll fly right past me with that CPU clock.

NICE!!! I haven't been able to find any China 352's but did find a few 356's which I snagged. Going to attempt this OVP mod on my P5B Deluxe. Hopefully I'm successful with it as I want 2.1v!

Thanks for the help guys. Got 2nd on the 4870. Dropped in the 4850 without the vmod to see what she can do. Not bad but she definately need to be modded.

What card? I have a Gigabyte card thats not really like any other 4850. So i doubt you can use this mod. Unless you have a blue pcb Gigabyte 4850 card.

Its a Visiontek 4850 reference pbc. Tried the pencil mod and was able to get a solid 800/1200 thru all the 3D benches with the stock cooler and stock cpu speed. A couple benches ran at 825/1225 with very light artifacting.

Plan to DICE the CPU tomorrow so I'm trying to squeeze out the most of the GPU today.

Its a pretty nice chip -156cb -125cbb, vtt wont boot over 1.3 set but you can up to 1.4 in windows easy enough :thumbsup:
PS slow mode, highe pci-e mhz and +25mV ref voltage ftw for 1m and pf :Hi: gained about 200mhz ;)

bios is 704 (still the best 1005 is on my other bios and same settings dont fly)
vdimm 1.775v vtt 1.354 pll 1.503v

Thanks to a few here I've completed my first vmod on the 4850. Running 910/1300 @ 1.52v through all 3D benches without skipping a beat. CPU is currently on air but that will change as soon as I can get me some DICE tomorrow or Tuesday.

No 8 Ghz for me this month. Binned all the new Cedar Mills under single stage. 3 of em were total crap. 2 of em were nothing to write home about. 2 of them have potential. Those 2 might be 7.5+ ghz chips, but both were far enough behind my 7.9 ghz chip that I'm not bothering to waste LN2 on them.

Time to prep the GD80 and get working on that ticket to Vegas.......
