guys ever try the x28 multi?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=246726

I guess some chips like different multis than others. Going to try it out today myself. Whats the deal with the ram clocks on the p55 classy, still garbage?

My chip doesn't much like the single core action.

I just improved my best spi 1m a couple ms with the 28 lol! the 26 goes higher as well

26x247 and 28x231 both worked 90mhz higher than x27 for me

I'd look at that psu and give it a good thorough checking with a multi-meter. Travis lost a bunch of hdd's to a bad Antec a couple days ago, took out two boards as well.

Yes I checked dmm all the way all rails seams ok unless the psu is peaking at some point. 3rd HDD isn't a joke so I will retire this psu just to be safe.

Will go with the Antec Quattro 1200w.

Which ram for p55 + i5

Testing ADATA's 2200 cas8 4gb kit and so far terrible results using 2:8 and 2:10 divider's (no post on code 18). Looks like this board is ram picky when I stick the i5 in.

Edit: Bios A58

the adatas are good.what voltage do you run them at? subtimings?

Honda I'll have to get back to you after work. Voltages where from 1.65 to 1.72vdimm using dividers 2:8 and 2:10 none worked after 1900ddr3.

They fly with the p55 i7 2200 c7-7-7-20-62man very good ram but as soon as I stick the i5 hard to get them over 1900...

what temps do you have on the cpu? imc needs to be cold to get it running fast...

Honda I'm just air testing prior to nitrogen. I just wanna see what are the best tight timings I can get out of them before cold. I see Bryan's run almost at 2000cas7 and I can't even get near that.

So you say it's because it's on Air? I did the same with my I7 860 tested on air, tight timings all the way to 2400mhz+ and it was about the same after ln2 and these ram did really scale nicely.
