Hey guys, got word a little while back that they (Gigabyte) would be having a 3 stage competition.

BEAT ME IF YOU DARE is a multistage (3 stage) competition which allows you to pit yourself against
the rest of the world, not just for bragging rights either but for some very nice prizes.

The event Runs from October 1st through December 31st 2009

Quick note of the rules,
Oct 1st - 31st gtx 260 competition
Nov 1st - 30th gtx 275 competition
Dec 1st - Dec 31st 275 SLI competition

The game benchmark portion is a free download that can be found here:

Scoring method:
1. (contestant’s 3DMark Vantage Performance GPU score – 9000) / 9000 = X1 % 2. (contestant’s game benchmark fps score – 100) / 100 = X2 %
3. X1 *80% + X2 *20% = final score

Yeah I am to short on GPU power to be in this one, I have no 275's :(

Also keep in mind that they have said all ES, binned or what ever CPU's can be used, only restriction is the CPU's must be in the retail chain. So Super Cherrys will rule this game.

I guess this is gonna be a big player contest.....will watch the big boys battle it out from sidelines.....

Well I have everything except the 275's or else I would give it a shot. Hell I even got Resident Evil 5 which by the way sux!

I believe there is a benching program for that, you don't need the game.

That is good to know. Now you don't have to run out and spend $49.99 on the game just for the bench!

Yeah Nip you can just download the benchmark, which is nice.

Run in the 260 category, all three are separate competitions.

Supposedly, it is solely based on GPU score, but we all know that the CPU weighs heavily on a Vantage run and any other benchmark for that matter.

I may need to look into a DICE pot for this one! :ohcrap:
