The Avatar

I saw this movie yesterday and it is something awesome two :thumbsup:

Gutterz 12-22-2009 02:34 AM

ya I heard that from Moparmatt it was awesome too.

Rogue210 12-22-2009 03:14 AM

I know I mentioned it awhile back and no one said anything :( Kidding...yea that movie looks mean!!!!

Chicken Patty 12-22-2009 04:05 AM

"The Avatar" is probably the most complete movie I've ever seen. It was just absolutely brilliant!!!

Gunslinger 12-22-2009 04:06 AM

Took the wife and kids to it on Friday, friggin sweet movie. The wife usually hates movies like this, but she wants to go and see it again.

Chicken Patty 12-22-2009 07:49 AM

When critics give a good rating to a movie it's because th movie is really good. Avatr got like an 82%. I'm going to go see it again tomorrow, at IMAX. Can't wait!

Neuromancer 12-22-2009 08:02 AM

Can't wait for the BluRay release (which reminds me I gotta BDROM :) )

Kal-EL 12-22-2009 08:12 AM

Yah, I don't usually do second theater trips but this Avatar movie is pretty sick. We're probably going back to the theaters to see it again.

Chicken Patty 12-22-2009 08:30 AM

Me neither kal, but this one is worth a 2nd viewing:toast:

Rogue210 12-22-2009 08:33 AM

did u see the hd version or the 3d version?

Kal-EL 12-22-2009 08:35 AM

I saw the regular version but heard talk of the 3D version. Might need to see the 3D version next.

Rogue210 12-22-2009 08:37 AM

I heard the 3d version rocks...but I can't see spending $3. more for cardboard glasses that after the movie u gotta give back!

Chicken Patty 12-22-2009 08:38 AM

3d :)

Kal-EL 12-22-2009 08:45 AM

:D :D :D :D :D test/fixed!

Chicken Patty 12-22-2009 09:44 AM

Who said anything about giving them back

Gunslinger 12-22-2009 11:41 AM

Our glasses were pretty nice, kind of like Buddy Holly glasses. Recycling them was optional

I would say more than half the people keep them

Neuromancer 12-22-2009 12:40 PM

At least no one here lives in Germany. Apparently the 3D version was not able to be shown because DRM prevented it from playing :)

thebanik 12-22-2009 05:05 PM

Saw it in 3d, If you guyz liked it in 2d then I am sure you will be blown over by 3d, I have never seen a movie in theater a second time with my own money, :p, but I am planning to go again too......

If the game is as good as the movie, I am buying it!

Enjoy it dude :toast:

Chicken Patty 12-24-2009 12:48 PM

Saw it again last night in 3D, I can honestly say I liked it even more this time around. Movie does not fail to impress me!

DrNip 12-24-2009 02:44 PM

The game sucked. I played it for 3 minutes and sent it back to GameFly. The controls didn't feel right.

Never tried the game, but the movie rocked!

RomDominance 12-24-2009 03:17 PM

My wife and I saw it in 3d last night...we both very much enjoyed the movie. I am thinking of taking my 13yr old daughter to see it this weekend. The plot was as old as dirt and still works, must have been the visual odessy which is the Avitar, friggin awesome.

Most plots if not all are old if you think about it. However, the movie was visually stunning, the love story was not repulsive or over done. It was just a well done movie.

I would have preferred some interspecies action, maybe with that funky Avatar tail? But that's old stuff too. Maybe a hand job from one of those over-sized monsters? Finally, a hand that makes me look normal

Jeffro64 12-25-2009 01:16 PM

Glad you liked it. :toast: Just the eye candy alone is enough to make you want to go again!

Assassin48 12-25-2009 02:05 PM

Ok after all the talk of this movie being soo good and a lot of you watching in twice, i decided to go watch it. I watched the 3d version of it and it was a good movie but i wouldn't pay to watch it again. But i will definitely buy it on Blu-Ray when it comes out.
