Ghetto rigged ftw
After Building my gaming computer with money from my summer job and not really bothering to overclock it because of how great it is already I still needed to fill that gap inside that wants to overclock. Now being a high school student and only having small time jobs leaves me tight on what I can spend on pc stuff. So with that said I have built a ghetto rigged test bench that will be used to push old tech and prob new tech (when I get the money haha) to its brink lol.

I feel like the bum of overclockaholics, just collecting peoples old parts to overclock them lmfao. |
Hell yeah!
|
Lol yeah its pretty sweet and it has my infamous Purple motherboard and 5200fx
|
+1 for the purple board
+ 10 for the hot rod rack .... I made my own rack as well. These racks are so rudementary I can not see buying one My next project is to make one that is mobile like yours ..... Clock it up and lay donw the boints .......................:cool3: |
Yes they are pricey I couldn't see spending money on something I could build.
And Yes I would also like to make a new one better than this and seeing that my grandfather was a machinest(sp) he still makes things today and has most of the equipment(ie. metal lathe, bench drills, precision tools) I want to make an aluminum one since he can get me the materials haha. |
I used ready rod for my uprights, makes it very simple check out rack um up thread for details
Not very mobil .............LOL http://www.overclockaholics.com/foru...ead.php?t=1449 |
Yeah iv'e seen it before its indeed epic and not mobile haha.
I would like to do some cooling like that it would be sick but it looks insanely hard hah. |
Yea with the rod and some light weight material for the decks though one could be made easily for benching on the run ....
|
Yeah it doesn't seem to hard to build but I was talking about your cooling setup haha that looks hard
|
Everybody has to start somewhere! And, your rig is not "ghetto", it's...
Inner-City Themed :) |

Hahah its funny cause i live like an hour or so from the city |
Yeah I build all my own stuff too. Might not be pretty buts cheap and i have no issues about cutting into it if I want to add something to it!

For when you get ready for the high tech stuff Nick...:taunt:
|
Wish I had a working camera last night. My ghetto bench station was running in full force. Dropped the rad out the window and was idling at 0c :)
|
Haha thats ridiculous rickss and damn I want to see that pic neuro haha

Finished product for now until I get a new, old board for my athlon 1400 lmfao
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...P1010060-1.jpg The top is for hd,cd,and psu along with random crap and tools http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...6/P1010059.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...6/P1010061.jpg Awesome mod to bring my vcore up I think i did a mighty fine job on it. Some numbers from sunday night lmfao http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...33_1603.66_mhz would do better but the multiplier on this board is locked and the pencil trick i cant seem to get working for the Athlon 1400 |
Getto Fabulous, lol.
|
Lol Indeed it is.
|
Hey Nick...is it me or is the top part sort of slanted?
|
Sort of lmfao it IS slanted haha. have to redo one of the screws to pull the other side back. The leg in the second pic is bent inward also because it blocked my ps/2 ports so When i do put the screw in on the other side it should pull it back and thus make it better, not perfect but definitely better.

I am sitting here looking at this creation and it has electrical tape, a zip tie, half nailed nails, screws and three types of wood which some are sawed while others appeared to be broke in half to make the cut. ROFL!!!

Right!!!! This is epic. I love it man.
|
^OMG close its a broom handle lmfao. And Dr. The Nails where there already i left it to add to the atmosphere rofl, Zip tie cause the rod started to split so it holds it together, Electric tape to keep the screws on the bottom from eating my table. and no the rods were all cut. and yes there 3 pieces of wood 1 is cheap fiberboard 2nd is broom handle and 3rd is the back of an old bass amp which is probably cheap fiberboard as well. LMFAO
|
Looks like you used one of the halved broom handles to beat in the nails on another.
|
Lol the nails were already there.
|
Awsomenes.....

The leaning tower of bench-a
