RussianHaxor's Rig

This is not my main daily beater rig. This is my benching rig for reviews and OCing!

Disclaimer: I do not plan or expect to achieve high extreme overclocks on this motherboard. So save me the comments ;)

Here is what i currently have as of today.

dude that is sick.... but damn the one pic you make fuzzy is the CPU... gimme the Qspec... i wanna see whats under the hood?

also be careful whne overclocking with ssd's..... if you get unstable you can wipe out the OS in one shot.

Witchdoctor 02-22-2010 02:49 PM

LOL

took me about 35minutes to reder these pics on dial up ........... :ohcrap:

Looking good in for the results ................

Russianhaxor 02-22-2010 02:57 PM

Thanks guys!

Fyi, like i said in the other thread.

i870, DFI P55, Kingston SSD, 4890, 5450, UCP 1100w, Kingston 1600mhz and Patriot 2000mhz.

And i MIGHT use the Sniper case from CM if i feel like it.

Witchdoctor 02-22-2010 03:03 PM

Think outside the box ............

punx223 02-22-2010 03:27 PM

being outside the case makes it easier to bring to my pad for some subzero sessions :ohcrap:

If i had the money id get a dimastech bench though.

Neuromancer 02-22-2010 09:10 PM

heh heh so would I man... so would I..

Relaly all you need though is a few dollars worth of the pine wood and if you want to go all out.. a piece of aluminum for a PCI expansion bracket and some coarse thread screws and a couple of pan heads for holdign the bracket donw.. net cost... $20

Oh and some pipe strap to cut some impromptu brackets for things like mounting the PSU and HDDs :)

I have a thread under cases I belive look for "new desk mod" started with a <$20 assembly and that meant going out and buying everything instead of using what was available.

Russianhaxor 02-22-2010 09:37 PM

Imactually goig to be placing this thing on a giant pine box i keep stuff in. its perfect.

Kal-EL 02-23-2010 12:56 AM

Nice pics Anshel, just a bit too large, if you get a chance to resize them a lil, that'd be cool. If you want me to resize them and host them, I can do that in less than 3 minutes, lemme know.

Russianhaxor 02-23-2010 05:39 AM

I'm just not a big fan of resizing, plus the other forum i frequent often does autoresizing.

images resized

Russianhaxor 02-23-2010 10:20 AM

Oh, look what the Fedex guy dropped off.

I've been trying to get some Pi runs out of this POS board but it won't even boot at the settings i had set before with the slower/worse ram. This board is really beginning to piss me off. Could possibly have a P7P55D on its way to me soon.

Russianhaxor 03-13-2010 02:46 PM

Wow this board is junk. Do not buy it.

Dentlord 03-13-2010 02:49 PM

EVGA boards ftw ;)

Apache0c 03-13-2010 05:13 PM

DFI FTMFW. I'd say we have a PEBKAC error here. :poke:

Who knows, maybe you got a bad one. There are other things it could be. I know DFI made the best P35 board that ever went to market.

Shutup mr. DFI.

You've only got a P35, you havent worked with their P55 or X38 boards. the X38 is solid so is the X48. The X58s are hit or miss, and the P55s are ALL MISS.

Apache0c 03-13-2010 09:20 PM

^ Gotcha. You're still a newb tho
