this dewar on ebay..what do you think about it?
|
You should just get Karmakazi's, he'll make you a lid.

i asked him ...still waiting for his reply...
also...i'm scared of the weight of that behemoth lol.... i live on the 2nd floor of the apartments..and i'm a 5'5 asian dude...no military prowess whatsoever LOL if karma dude replies....we shall see :D i like his dewar..but i'm just weighing my options... |

I don't see any reason not to get it, if you need a dewar this one is probably perfect. It's around 30-35L, so it's enough for a good session for some hours. I just made a lid myself, ln2 stores really well without lid too. But a LID is nice for transportation:)
I had my thermos filled with ln2 over the night without a cap on, still there was more than 50% of the ln2 left.:D |
nice price, but that looks a little scary to me :scared: Worse case is you lose $250 bucks, best case is you get a hell of a good deal if the seals are intact.
I know my 35 is a bitch to carry from the car, up 8 steps and into the house lol thankfully it came with a trolly which helps part of the distance :D |
Yeah my 50L weighs in at 150lbs when full. I need help getting it out of the car safely as I do not want to drop it LOL.
It has a roller stand so after that its np. I am glad it has a pressure top as tipping a 50L to fill a thermo is not something I would want to do. A 35L migth be better for tipping, I dont know. |
Bunch of girls in this thread LOL I carry my 50l 50 yards and up 3 flights of stairs ! Dude you can do better mine was three fifty with withdrawl setup. I would hate to have to tip

I was thinking the same thing, but damn sure wasn't going to be the first to say it. :taunt: |
me three
|
Wish I could carry my Dewar full of LN2 :(
Unfortunately it is still empty *sigh |
darn everybody's chiming in...and now i'm divided lol and karmadude hasn't replied...
i'm sure my girl can't carry this piece of shit when full... :) |
If you get the big boy, just make you a roller cart. Four big caster will cost you ~50-75 bucks. The rest of the supplies couldn't cost too much whether steal or wood.

I'll let you know how heavy it is full when mine arrives. ;) |
35L=62.2525 of LN2 + dewar weight (25 pounds?) You should be able to carry it.

bwahahhahahah work mode...i'll be back you feminists! hahhahaha |
lmao, I thought you were the red headed guy in the stream. :Dizzy: So you were the guy sitting at the table behind Travis??
|
He was the manong hiding prom de camera all de time. But was the only one in the room capable of cranking out some ownage. :poke:(v2-v3)
If you can get Karma to sell it to you, it'll be a large plus. 50L will cover a few good sessions without a nagging need to constantly refill. I really wanted BOTH those 50L's but the shipping to Hawaii was astronomical. |

|
that looks like 50L .... /barf
|
50L isnt bad for tip pouring. You should see me shakiing the 50L upside down like an A1 bottle saying to yourself ya its that good.
|
I shot the guy a question on vacuum.... he hasn't replied back yet
EDIT: replied right after I typed that ^.. LOL "I dont think there is any vacuum for the tank? I did pour water into the tank to check if there are any leaks, None. I have never used it, I got this from a University Surplus. I belive this is in good shape." |
Quote:
|
lol water
just keep it frozen..but its better if the vacuum was there...it'll hold ln2 for weeks.. |
Well, wouldn't it be wise to dump the water out and dry the inside? I feel like I am really missing something.....
|
i would rather leave the water in..if its frozen and the leak is shut...then a semi vacuum is created...
vacuum in the dewars make the dewars contain ln2 temps stable...even for a long time... |
I missing somthing too. Cause all the water did was tell him their wasnt a hole threw the side wall. A crack in the internals wont leak out. Kind a like a cooler, outside may look fine but the inside is cracked to shit an it wont hold Ice. But look it can hold water. I vote buy it. I chanced mine an its fine.

$75 for a shipped dewar with a lid? Heck, if you guys don't want it, I'll bid on it if it stays cheap. If I keep getting small dewars I'll eventually have the equivalent of a 160L. Isn't it a truism that the ugliest, most beat up looking dewars have the best seals? |
