Just not enough cash to blow on a EX chip especially with Intel EX track record being what it is. I really hope these pre release chips are not cherry picked and retails can live up to advertised speeds.

Wow, thats really not that impressive. Yet vantage is prolly the least CPU driven of all benches.

Vantage, didnt they come out with a patch to fix the threading? Maybe he is using an earlier version? Yeah weak scores for sure. Good eye rev.

Looks like he selected cores instead of running on all cylinders.

my 285 did 26k on 06.....just watercooled and 5ghz on the cpu....

I'm starting to get a complex about the MANY MANY screenshots being posted regarding gulftown results. 1 of 3 things are happening here:

1- These guys have the crappiest Gulftowns known to man
2- My chip is ungodly efficient
3- Someone has started a propaganda campaign against Gulftown Performance
3a- Said campaign is targeted at lowering initial price points of Gulftown during release.

^^^ bringing a knife to a gun fight lol.

dude imagine 4 threads flying @ 6.5ghz vs 12threads @ 6ghz ....sure its number crunching..but latency(lack of) would push the scores abit :D ..i'm not sure but if tweaked right i'm looking at 27k perhaps? i have a tek9666 pot too....too bad its skinny. i'm thinking of a way of putting a cpu pot on the gpu..i already ordered a pcie extender :D

@11k cpu score, the chip is severely gpu bottlenecked without increasing gpu clocks, rofl ;)

ZipZoomFly had it for $1,069 or so but took it down. Read somewhere that with a 140W TDP there wouldn't be much overclocking headroom? :confused4: I guess.

this is 32nm ......its born for 6ghz :)

the 960 has a coldbug and the imc..isn't born to fly :)
