I am all about a free market and getting the best deal possible between the buyer and seller. I'm sure Runmc has an asking price, and I'm sure a selling price for each unit. It is up to you to find that selling price. I'm not trying to be rude, but the man has a business and is trying to make money. I'm not gonna share my price we agreed upon so tons of people start demanding the same price. For all I know he made $5 or $250 on my unit. I love my teammates, but I got to respect the man's business too. I hope you understand. :thumbsup:

Idle is ~-45c
Load -35c 300w

i7 920 4.8ghz 1.55vcore with 3D06 CPU test on a loop she holds -40c. That is in TX heat too.

That seems almost identical to my SS Chuch. Should work like a charm for everything with the exception of wprime and vantage cpu. Those two test kill my SS. But for most 3d they are so handy. I am excited for you bro!

After seeing this build it was very easy to go with Ron. He has been a pleasure to work with. He has answered every question no matter how senseless. At this point I would recommend him to anyone. :thumbsup: Now just to see how smooth this transaction goes on the back end. :keeporder:

LOL, well you're just gonna have to put up with Mr. Groucho until I get to fire this bad boy up. This thing is going to make my overclocking life so much better. No more trying to tweak my schedule to pick up the ln2. Now ln2 will just be to put the icing on the cake.

Just so you guys know Runmc's philosophy in tuning. He does use a load tester, but that's not how he checks and fine tunes his builds. He also takes a practical approach and also tunes on a motherboard in a real life scenario. I actually like that. It kind of shows you how much an i7 at 4.8ghz @ 1.55v is below 300w in "real world". :good:

What I like about Ron's unit is how very clean and well built they are.

He also takes a great deal of time to tune the units correctly with a load tester, and then double checks on a live CPU. A Load tester is not the same as a live CPU and he takes the time to check this out and give stats on how the unit performes.

He also goes out of his way to package the unit so it survives shipping. I simply do not hear about his units breaking durning shipping. Another great aspect of how Ron does business.

From what I understand this unit was allready built, yet he took the time to take it out and double check the tune and give it a bit more load handling capabilty so the customer would be happy.

He takes pride in his builds and it shows !

All you guys are a-holes you know that? considering I might be able to pick up a 250W unit at -30C for 300.. I dont wanna! makes no sense to me... -100 might be a different story... my AMDs failed at -30C. So not even i7 capable... FACE said it would make a good GPU chiller... I put Fermi up as a challenge.. nay say I.

It still crosses my mind though (I cant afford it... but "could" if I tried)

Yes you explained his tuning so much better. I am impressed with the pack job. As far as the unit, yes it was pre-built when I contacted him. He did check the tune on the load tester and a mobo before he packed it back up. We discussed several options for tuning. He tweaked it a little, but I told him I wanted the unit to have a "safe" charge.

here is a 32M I ran on mine the other night .... no tweaks though just clock and go............... As you may be a groutchy bastard I am eaqualy to lazy to eff around with the SPI tweaks ..... LOL I bitch about have to deal with the 01 tweaks and 3D is where I live ...... LOL

I am having trouble getting good clocks for 32M .... maybe we can compare notes once your up and running ....

Looking good buddy. I'll take those clocks any day for phase. hehe, super pi is for sure an aquired taste type thing. It takes way too much patience for most people. Since I chose the SS over buying GPU's it looks like I'll be playing even more 2d :D

I think this is the right way to go about it if you feel that you have a special deal or Ron told you not to share the price with anyone. I mean if someone here wants a SS he should ask Ron for a price and than he can openly post it. I mean if you receive a quote from a builder its not a secret. The builder on the other side should be aware of this situation and expect the price to be openly posted in forums.

Honestly I am more than happy with our agreed price. I don't know if it was special or what. The thing is that Ron post his asking price on his website. That is your starting point. I don't even know if he usually negotiates from that price. I made contact with Runmc myself, and we agreed on a price that made us both happy. That is my point. I think I got a great deal on such a nice build and I hope he made enough money to be happy. He may sell to the next guy for even less, but that's fine with me. I am happy at the point where we met. Plus you guys know the range for these things anyways. ;)
