Ask Hondacity or V2-V3. The one they have used in their live stream produced nice pictures i think.

I keep seeing this one come up on reviews but its a little high in price
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826105226

They have the same one on amazon for $30 with free shipping, going to live chat with newegg maybe i can get a price match.

Also found this one
720p with micro phone

You said you are limited to $30 but go with the Microsoft HD. That is the one I have and the one I was going to provide a link to you. Top notch camera.:thumbsup:

I just picked up the Rosewill Black golf webcam for $20 and comes with free usb numberpad (doubles as a 2 port usb hub)

Image looked surprisingly clear but are limited to 640x480 at 30FPS.

Should be up on livestream tonight

I saw a comparison between the life cam and the logitech 9000
they said the life cam is a resource hog but it is cheaper

MicroShart and Logitech are your best bets...

I have the most uber webcam you can buy, but its pointless for you

DrNip 04-22-2010 02:36 PM

There are alot of great webcams out there but when it comes to broadcasting a show you are only limited to whatever they offer for free broadcasting. To broadcast in high def you are going to have to pay a hefty membership premium. You might look into getting a separate mic one day as pretty much all mics on webcams blow. Newegg has a pretty good one for $20.

The real test is viewing the FPS counters in the benches, most cant define the numbers. For those who have web cams should try an post back with the camera you have.

This is the one that Jody has, and it's produced the best livestream picture I've seen so far.

Hefty is right... we've paid that price.

I'm going to be using livestream

i have seen more comparisons between the lifecam and the 9000 and the lifecam seems to be better

anyone have any other recommendations ?

Kal-EL 04-23-2010 07:03 AM

Make sure to use the procaster software from livestream to broadcast and then use the studio to adjust overlay settings and shiznit.

The procaster makes the picture 1000x's clearer than the web=based broadcaster.

DrNip 04-23-2010 07:13 AM

I still stand by the Lifecam Cinema.

Good to know on the procaster software supes. Dunno if i will be broadcasting this weekend but definitely have 6 GPU's lined up to get air pwned with of course CPU diced out to the max, LOL
