Can't run Vantage || com surrogate error
 

Googled this error but nothing good came out.

That used to happen to me in Vista and XP, but never in Win7. May be a very painful remedy, but give Rom a call - I don't remember the fix but remember it sucked :eek:

Uninstall and reinstalled? I wanna say this happened to me a while back but can't be for sure. I do know that I had an error like this happening though.

Ya this is bad.. I'm trying W7x64 now but man these things only happens on 3D!!! :ohcrap:

Win64 you should have no probs, but I"m thinking the fix is worse than uninstall/reinstall Vantage ...

You got any services disabled/stripped?

Let em guess you just unistalled some ATI Drivers ?

reinstall is what I do, and seems to work

delete the cache folder?

Tried installing 06? That has worked for me before.

does the -nosysteminfo switch work with vantage?

I seem to remember having this problem before with both Vantage and 06. Installing microsoft.net framework 2.0 fixed it for me.

idk what that error is. but i had it act up on me where the water in the first test was all crazy

i uninstalled it and installed it again and it worked fine after that

Probably have to re-install OS. :Dizzy:

The install package of Vantage could be borked tooo, re-download might fix too.
