clwoodwork rigs
see my sig. When I have time I'll work at getting pictures posted.:D
Rig 5 is still in work I think I have all the parts needed to complete this week. Rig 6 I have the Evga classified, 3 water blocked 280's, a i7 940 Extreme o/o and a bunch of misc crap. Still more parts to order, Plus have to decide on tearing my MM Ascension and using it and the water cooling parts for this. My computer room is stuffed. I'm also going to have to deal with the heat issue in the room:argh: before summer or all my rigs are going to melt down. As of right now I use my rigs to crunch for the World Community Grid.:bs1: Peace, Chuck |
6 rigs!!! I thought I had it bad when I had 3 rigs. Very nice, make sure you get them pics up!
|
Nice rigs!
Can't wait to see the pics.... sad thing is the way things are going I might be in the same boat soon LOL! |
He's got Rig-a-murdus already. Way to be an enthusiast buddy. Happy to see yahsign1
|
Thanks, give me a couple days on the pic upload.:D
Peace, Chuck |
I think that has to be the longest signature I have ever seen.
|
Same here.... I couldn't get my 2 rigs in my sig for some reason.
|
@clwoodwork - Don't know if I told you this but welcome aboard man!
@Jeffro64 - There is a max character allowed in the sig. You prolly exceeded it, well you would have had to if you couldn't get it all in there. |
You aren't joking about the character limit, it's only 500:argh:. When I first started typing in my sig I was putting in stuff like what type of water cooling, type of block, # of loops, memory and specs, and other misc. crap that's nice to know about a rig. Well it took forever to type it all up and then get the mssg. exceeded 500 (of course it doesn't tell you how many you do have or how many you need to get rid of, noooo that would make things to easy) so then you start chopping and it doesn't fit:argh: trim some more still over 500:argh::argh: so by the time I got done all I have is a sig that says I have 6 rigs.:rofl:rofl:rofl
Peace, Chuck |
Nice collection.
I tried the same sig thing....and I gave up. I was getting carpal tunnel syndrome from all the typing. When you start sleeping in the computer room you'll know your problem is severe and you won't be able to deny it any more. There is help...there is a cure. The cure is young RELATIVES. They are willing and eager to help you out of your jam. In a couple years, when their systems are obsolete, they can help you again. |

Always a pleasure looking at your rig's buddy.:toast: The evga waterblocks look great too, almost golden. Your kid is gonna be a world class enthusiast in no-time flat from hangin round dad and his addiction, lol. :D
|
Now we venture into the world of core i7/920 in a X58 mobo.
I always wanted to watck my WD Raptor in action, so I came up with this. Oh and please don't look at the foaming water, I know I need to get the air bled out, just haven't had time lately. Pluse it runs in the mid 50's C with all cores running at 100%.:) http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6150/038yvl.jpg By clwoodwork, shot with C750UZ at 2009-04-04 http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/305/037mra.jpg By clwoodwork, shot with C750UZ at 2009-04-04 http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/9761/035omn.jpg By clwoodwork, shot with C750UZ at 2009-04-04 http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/6259/033hzn.jpg By clwoodwork, shot with C750UZ at 2009-04-04 http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/3231/031jls.jpg By clwoodwork, shot with C750UZ at 2009-04-04 http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/7629/030dhk.jpg By clwoodwork, shot with C750UZ at 2009-04-04 Peace, Chuck |
Rig # 6
Coming soon to a cramped computer room near you. Will have the X58 classified mobo, 3 gb of 1800mhz ram, plus I've got 2 water blocked 280GTX's, 1000w p/s, i7 920 on hand but might see what comes out later in the year cpu wise, but I still need a case and 3 water loops again and I thinking of getting the money up for a phase unit also later this year. So that means I would have to get another MM case with an extension on the bottom to put the phase unit. I'm going to have to think long and hard about Rig # 5. Peace, Chuck |
Very nice. Think I remember the pic of the kid in the case awhile back. Great pic as well!
|
Here are some pics of where the 4 cubes live. Hmm the 4 cubes that should be a rock group or something.

This is why I call my self clwoodwork. I can make pretty computer boxes but I can kill in wood.

Hey, very nice woodwork there buddy. Have you ever played with Koa? I know a few wood working Hawaiians that use Koa wood. They make all sorts of stuff, the pattern on Koa wood is beautiful.
|
Thank you, haven't tried Koa yet, it's pretty costly.:D

Your rigs are impressive but that craftmenship is something else with the wood. Thanks for posting that up Chuck.
|
Thank you. I do brag sometimes.:ola:

Just AWESOME! Thats some nice work both on the rigs and the woodwork.
I was thinking about getting one of those MM Cubes....Are they easy to work with and can you get 3 360 rads in one with 3 res and all? |
See post #13 that shows the MM Acension which will hold 3 x PA120.3's and 3 res, and 3 pumps no problem. You would not be able to have 3 loops in a MM cube imho, shit would be way to tight.
Peace, Chuck |
