Is it just me?

Is it just my imagination or do Nvidia video cards look so much better in pc games than ATI? I swap a lot of cards around and no matter what the power of the video card, Nvidia cards always seem to look so much better. Heck, even a 9600 GSO looks better to me than the 5870...:Dizzy:

If it's just you, then it's just me too

They even look better on boot up too.

lol, I'm the other way around. I found that when I switched to my 4870's for gaming the colors were more vibrant. I guess I gotta be the special kid here.

Its not so much the cards, but the drivers. CCC and Nvidia control panel have options to change the color settings and what not. Default, Nvidia have it brighter and more pop, kind of like bestbuy and other stores adjusting the settings on their TVs. ATI goes for a more life like image. If you play around with those settings, and your monitor/TV settings with a proper calibration tool, you shouldnt see any difference at all.

Not sure what happened to the pics, but here,

Ether did a comparison, and there wasnt much difference.
