Anyone hear any news of Jin at Vapoli?
Is he still taking money from people (like me) and never sending the units out?

I think he is laying low now. If you want another unit go with runmc for sure. Plus he lives somewhat close to you. Right outside of arlington I think. Ron is a super nice and honest guy. He did me right for sure with my unit especially after UPS destroyed the first one.

+1 Runmc is the man to get SS these days

Might be the one to fix the unit Rick has too, we will see.

Jin is gone and not building anymore, left me hanging for a bunch of stuff :(

"Gone" as in out of the country or did someone else beat me to him?
I am going to visit southern California and I was looking forward to having a little chat with him.

No he still lives in the same place, hes just not building anymore. I have been there also and he has a nice shop, plus I have talked with him many times.

But after this last deal which I was trying to help another person out, who ended up with my Cascade as Jin just couldnt get his crap together and build one. So now the debt is mine.

So coming up next month it will be a year for that, and he still owes me. tbh I kind of gave up on him. We had a simple way out for him to make me happy and even that would never happen. So usual Jin

I was very understanding and sympathetic to his situation. Like you, I offered him a very easy way out. I gave extra time and even extra money just to help him get through the problem so I could get the product I had already paid for. His responses were nothing but delay tactics. He refuses to even communicate anymore. He owes me quite a chunk of money.


I may get my wish after all. :)

From now on with anything phase change related just contact Runmc. Even if he can't handle what you are asking for, you will get an honest answer out of him. :thumbsup:

He owes me a Auto Cascade, that he actually has built. He says he tested it but it could not hold and real temps and gave a whole bunch of reasons why. Mind you it took him 3 months to pull the thing out, plug it in and see if it got cold LOL.

its true, I met him on a few occasions while repo'ing bills SS unit taht was on the road to disappearing.... its amazing what a guy will do when you got a 6'6" guy staring back at them threatening to take his shop equipment as payment :taunt:


tbh he was actually a nice guy to talk to, and while I do feel for his situation, to take more money is bad practice especially after being in such a bad spot, and knowingly taking it when you will not be able or not willing to deliver.

I have spoken with Jin many times durning that last year and yes, he seems to be a nice guy and I enjoy talking with him. He just never follows up with what he says he wil do.

So my fully built Auto Cascade sits in his shop, with one excuse after another on why its not working or I cant come down to get it :(
