I was actually just getting ready to start a thread, but this is a better spot. I am too fucking busy at work. We just finished up with 90% of the staff being off for 2 weeks and now I got to prep for a huge arse meeting on Friday. Gotta crunch a ton of numbers and meet with the new guys we just hired a ton of times about random shit so they are prepped. I didn't get home until 9pm tonight :thumbdown:

I'll most likely be out of it all of this week and atleast the first half of next week. After that I gotta finish up 1m, wprimes and pifast on P55 for hwboints before spankin all them asses at our pifast contest. Other than that I 100% without a doubt plan on filling the dewar this month and hopefully more than once. :thumbsup:

sounds good men, im going to hit cpu-z with the power of thors hammer as well as hopefully get my new 980x in tomorrow or thursday. Waiting on another evbot to start benching p55 :)

A fun night was just getting started.

Then I started playing with QPI LL jumper and accidentally left it "unjumped" with only one pin making contact. Didn't realize it (was changing it by "feel"), booted into windows. ROG connect was acting funny - wouldn't change clocks. Tried a restart.........now stuck on CPU initial.......

Sigh.....didn't even get to bench crossfire yet.....

Got nothing else to bench until I figure out a way to replace my CPU. :scared:

Might have to learn how to remove an IHS and play with the Commando in the meantime.....

That sucker is the 6th 5870 I've purchased and it kicks booty. Very tempted to do the OCP mod.........but the financial loss ain't worth it for what is now a second tier GPU. It won't play at more than 1.49v or less than -130 temps. Able to get through 03 Nature at 1450, but can't do Trolls at those clocks.

On a positive note, I got the CPU to post again after a 2 hour break. Crossing fingers for performance tomorrow.

Me in too, though yet to recieve 980X from RMA. So hopefully by mid-july, I would be ready to put my GTX480 on LN2 and then if everything goes normal mod the shit out of it to gain some much needed air, err boints....

Im actually gonna contribute this month!

I will be back to my roots piling on some HW boints though, no more global that is gone in 2 days for a while for me ;)

once you find the g-spot of the commando its pretty much pop and lock proccies in it and start around 1.75 and increase till it stops scaling. Have the money shot profile saved :)

@ Patch why are you running 4Gb mem config? is it related to coldbug?

Yes. It's not a huge difference, but it can usually go colder with 2 sticks. And mem/uncore clocks are easier.

Always a performance toss up between cpu coldbug, dual vs triple channel, uncore, and mem clocks.

Key is def boot as high as possible, was booting 320x24=7.7ghz. Was stuck at 310x24 when I was booting in the 250s :thumbsup:

Edit: Booting at 7.7 Ghz?! I don't think I was ever able to boot my chip into windows at more than 7.2ish (give or take a few hundred Mhz).
