Quick [Q]uestion...
i was looking around and didn't find so i am just gonna ask...
is there any way anyone is got like a link to protect the motherboard, i just got a 24/7 bench system. and i really want to take care of it.. some of you guys may already know from my last session (http://www.overclockaholics.com/foru...ead.php?t=3259) the board was like really not protected at all... all i used are painter's type that's all...:D well.. i know i need to put eraser on it but that's about all i know... dose anyone have any ideas where i can find any posts that's gonna tell me what to do on a LGA setup? this board is the Asus Commando  and please let me know if there is anything i need to be careful with this board, things that need to be done and things that need to stay a way from.. things like that.. i am putting the E6300 and the Celeron 356 on it :D just want some Boints ;) i am still shopping for ram any suggestions? i have a set of DDR2 OCZ HCP 800 ram i am not doing something too crazy.. :rofl just pushing the core speed nothing about performance what do you guys think? PS. TO Superman... "saberfight: I am in the Dark Side now! |
Here is a good guide which will give a clue on how to do the insulation thing.

I AM OCA! |
this is what!
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSCN0940.jpg what is that thing on the chip? and is that nessessory? |
Looks like vaseline to me...effective but messy.
|
I greased sockets for a while like that. Benefits (dubious) ain't worth the hassle - AT ALL.
Have to disagree about babying the Commando. Remember what Commandos do. They like to penetrate deep into dangerous territory to kick ass. Mine: http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/3...edcommando.jpg |

few more questions here...
i am on the bot just digging around and looking around stuff like that... and then i found that most the people is sky rocking overclocking are using like somekind of PCI videocard not out std PCI-E or AGP stuff like that why is that?? also just wondering... i will be doing like crazy overclocking on the board... and my RAM my sweet sweet OCZ ram, is there anything i should be careful about it? it's OCZ2RPR800C44GK or here is a link =) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227267) or should i just don't even care because it's got lifetime on it and then kill it then RMA it and hope get something MUCH better because i was stupid buying it in the first place? |
i don't think that was vaseline...more like dielectric grease...
not sure bout the rams.. bout the pci cards..they're good..hpnotiq is doing 680fsb!!! with pci vcard.. |
Quote:
i am hopping get my new 356 to 320fsb.. :D that'll be 8GHz dead on |
i had the pc2 8500 of those ocz ram they sucked couldnt get them to run stock on gig p45 mb
|
you need ln2 for that though...hehehe
|
LOL
|
those rams should be ok for cpuz validations...
fsb:ram ratio 1:1 |
400fsb :p
but the rig i built for my parents have th 800mhz ones on amd they oc alot better |
Quote:
so i monna be looking at 800/2 = 400FSB and then my goal is getting the chip at 320MHz x25 and 1:1 with ram 320 x2 = 640MHz for the Ram and 8000MHz for the chip =) oh yeah i losted my keys in school... and i am still in school looking for the damn thing kinda pissed |
thats why you need to wear paints with pockets lol

and i been just really tired this week test everyday and homework... benching homeworking it's just like WTF life! |
Quote:
Benching should be a stress reliever... not an additive. |
Quote:
it's like i wanna do it it's like drug to me lol  |
Quote:
I have same dilemma I do it till I am frustrated, and that is wrong.... Benching should be fun... if it stops being fun, stop benching... It's an addiction too I know I quit the contest like 3 or 4 times so far... still bang my head against that damn 1.40 wall |
Quote:
but i keeps wanting to bench... can't stop it.. really think i am becoming a overclockaholic.. :rofl |
Kiki, stop the denial bro, its not becoming..........
Everyone knows you're an Overclockaholic, its time to accept it ;) |

But don't diss school, man.
Great grades = Great job = Great hardware to bench (lots of it) = more boints for the team. Eat right, exercise, study, and bench. That stuff is important. Sleeping, on the other hand, is vastly over-rated. |
Quote:
got it! but naw.. i don't understand why everyone is telling me sleeping is over rated? i love sleeping (i can think at the sametime sleep and when i get up i am able to remember everything) and i am thinking about sleep less and take the sleeping time to bench .. yeah? like i can't go with out at least bench once a day.. i already dropped gaming... put that time in benching... i haven't logged on Playstation Network and xbox live for like EVER! |
