You can tell by the internal pics that the pot lacks a lot of mass near the die... pretty though... Wouldn't mind having it gifted to me :)

Gold having better heat transfer properties, they plate it to help.

kikicoco1334 09-23-2010 01:42 PM

hmmm... let Kingpin redo one =)

Witchdoctor 09-23-2010 03:12 PM

I can't speak to the preformance, but the craftsmanship that went into it was stellar to say the least

Good post preacher man :)

I totally forgot that also. Thought it was better in both.

The linked thread did say it was for oxidation reasons though.

Lets see a 5 pound block of silver that probably weighed 10+ before cutting... yes you can recycle that silver but that is a process that costs money too

$352 US a pound of silver right now..

I would rather have a copper pot for not much more than a alum one :)

(copper currently is trading at 3.6 USD A pound...)

kikicoco1334 09-23-2010 06:45 PM

REALLY?! the difference it's HUGE!

but yeah...

BTW is the F1EE 100% copper?

The grade is high, but afaik there is no such thing as 100% anything. There's always impurities.

problem with that is silver is so soft. You'd mount it...and mount it and before you know it you're pouring LN2 on your shoes and calling 911 lol.
