got no thermometer but i do have a stupid amount of thermal compound :D

Dynex (the old one silver < they don't make this anymore)
Dynex (the new one white)
Thermaltake
A50 Air Series
Tuniq TX-1
Cooler Master
Zalman ZM-STG1
Arctic Silver 5
and some of that white stuff

Hondacity 09-24-2010 04:16 PM

first you need a thermometer..so you can set higher voltage without killing the proc....lots of cheap thermometers...

kikicoco1334 09-24-2010 04:21 PM

you mean multimeter for voltage?
multimeter i have a CraftMan =)

Hondacity 09-24-2010 04:37 PM

thermometer....for temperature...

hmm.. k i'll go get one tomorrow but why use a thermometer? not a multimeter?
voltage should be measured by multimeter right?

sorry i am just really confused

where should i stick this thermometer at?

Hondacity 09-24-2010 04:58 PM

here's a fun video for beginners

just think negative temps....subzero temps...

"sorry i am just really confused

I am so tempted, especially after you not trying Dragon Skin...nah, I will let this one pass. :taunt:

Hondacity 09-24-2010 08:10 PM

hahahaahhaha

GeorgeStorm 09-25-2010 01:52 AM

Without a thermometer, how you hoping to know possible CB/CBB??

Hondacity 09-25-2010 04:09 AM

i already suggested him a thermomter...he'll be using dice..and he'll be using the c2d cpu...hopefully dice is good for it... good luck

GeorgeStorm 09-25-2010 04:25 AM

I know you did, I was merely asking him how he hadn't already thought of it.
It's more obvious than a multimeter for voltage surely?

Neuromancer 09-25-2010 10:03 AM

It was a confusing recommendation. you did say a therometer for voltages. I think I know what you meant, but it was stil confusing.

Kiki
thermometer monitors temp swings and why even a cheap one is good because it s used to monitor differences not actual temperature. So although you might still have a frosty pot, the CPU temp could be climbing rapidly... not something you want to pump a lot of volts through. Colder it is the less voltage it needs and conversely the more it can take.

i monna go get a thermometer tomorrow after class.....

i am still really new so alot things i still have no idea about..

CB or CBB ....gotta hate them...

still gotta buy books tho...

i monna post pix in a min over my setup right now =)

kikicoco1334 09-26-2010 09:52 AM
