Holy shat I might have something to bench this month. Trying to pick up an 8800GTS 512. Now to go find the mods so I can order the trimmers.

230L delivery on Thurs. Lightning comes on Fri. benching it on Sat. Leaving town for a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert on Sun. be back at it on Tues.

Just pick up another 8800gt, another 8800GTX, a 5850 and i have a 8800gts 640 modded and ready to go. So my schedule is full. All of the 8800 series cards i have will be up for sale within the next few weeks. So if anyone is looking for hardware boints keep an eye on the FS threads. It will be a big list with great deals as i have a boat load of them.

w00t premium showed up last night at my old apartment :X rofl good thing I was there till 8:30 showing it to people. Board is brand new ftw. Also my order of freeze from OCZ went through and they remedied the shipping so that is always a route to go.

e8600 will be locked and loaded filling up my dewar tomorrow :D

8800GTS 512 confirmed. Should have it by Friday. Gotta go out of town though.

My new GD80 just showed up so it's time to mod it and get back to the MOA prequalifier. Gotta figure out how to clock this 295 now.......Will also be great HW boints after the MSI thing is done.

Patch it is a long shot but why don't you pm Kinc or Crotale at xs and see if he will hook you up with the 295 hardmods including OCP. Some of the mods were never published were they?

Tomorrow should be a big day for the Empire. Expected to arrive is: 1 x GTX480 Lightning, 1 x Kingpin aluminum tube for the gemini slayer base to make a whole'nother pot out of, 1 x GTX 285 classified I purchased for the msi 01 contest, and a new RE3 coming back from rma. All the residents of the alpha quadrant will soon feel the crushing might of the Romulan Empire...we are coming.

Picked up a cool 60 points off the 8800 GTS 320 I got in the mail today with the stock cooler. Card is apart, little heat sinks installed, water block installed and its ready to be vmodded. Gonna see how much more I can squeeze out of her before I DICE the CPU.

And from what I can tell, this is gonna be yet another killer month for you guys! Great work already, and we are only 4 days in!

Ones not mine, it is a loaner. The 1st dewar I bought a few weeks ago turned out not to be feasible so I got the loaner on loan two weeks ago. Well last week a purty dewar popped up on the radar at a stupid cheap price that I couldn't pass it up so I picked it up. That is how I ended up with three dewars in the garage. Just called the shop and it will be $50 to fill the 30 liter. Going to pick up my torch and pouring device tomorrow. I will have the newest dewar filled and off and running this month. More likely towards the end of the month.

I feel your pain man. That sucks. I've been at the total reverse end of that spectrum. I always have LN2. Around every 2-3 weeks they come and fill me up with another 230L. And i've been in a slump with hardware, sometimes 3-4 weeks and i just watch my gauge on my tank go from 230L full to empty with maybe two or three bench sessions out of it. Or just wasting it on hardware that fails. Its like having gas and no car. How much for the LN2 in your area.

No more renting tanks for me. Turned out to be way too expensive and I kept getting the shaft.


Love my new LN2 set up. I bought Honda's extra little dewars, so I now have 4 dewars with a combined capacity of 85L. They are all easy to handle and pour, and 85L is turning out to be a perfect amount for balancing use vs. evap loss. Extra bonus is that I always have a pretty good idea how much I have left, within a few liters.

so should i fill mine tomorrow or monday ? guys not going to ship the pot out untill tomorrow... so dont think its going to make it by saturday

PITA trying to work backwards on voltage for this 295, but I got it figured out now. Thanks to AF's Voltage Factory and some riva tunerage.

Hope OCP/OVP don't haunt me when it goes cold....

Thanks Patchy! Your not gonna believe this, but before bedtime I decided to go back down in the shop and get the Wretch setup for tomorrow's 06 onslaught.
Loaded up xp, stripped and reloaded the driver and while it was loading I get an error. Go to restart, RE3 shuts down...and never boots again...stuck on cpu light bright just like my last Rampage Extreme...:wtfsign:

Sad days......

Ya Patch's last MSI GD80 was a vaseline job and lasted less than a week if I recall correctly. More to the point HC I was at stock and at ambient,...insulation had nothing to do with it.

I have heard from peeps that they don't prefer those. You could prolly sell that hose assembly and opt for a copper tube instead.

Sell on ebay ? Where do you get a copper tube from ? Hardware store :Dizzy:

IDK nothing about dewars and bever sold anything on ebay :)

It doesn't have to be copper necessarily. Just take the fitting off and go to the hardware store and construct you something like this. :D

Or just keep the hose and take the separator off of it. Either or. I was just trying to recoup some of your money for you by telling you to sell the hose assembly on ebay for $100 or so. :D :D

That is another option. Sell the whole top for $300-400 on ebay and just tip it! New they run you around $500 or so without the hose.

Need to make some room in the garage to setup the rig, my 2yr old was already messing with the valves and was acting like the was drinking out of the side you put in the ln2 :rofl

I use a small peice of braided rubber tubing, .50c 1/2 ID 6 inches long wrapped in 2 layers of duct tape. Any peice of metal that you use will use ln2 to get down to the temperature of the ln2 ;) every drop counts

so im wasting some with even the steel braided hose ?

duct tape works on anything :thumbsup: lol
