Just wanted to stop in and say thanks to OCA for bringing some great competition in the MOA comp this year! It was a blast facing off against a few of you in the '01 category. Hats off to Patch for pulling #2 and to Romdominance for pushing me too :D.
Im sure those that competed ran into some hardware deaths as well.. [lord knows I aint the only 1x :p]. Was hoping to at least show 100k.. but blew my last msi mobo the day before the comp ended.. oh 'le cry! *Anyhow, it was fun, I'll see you all in the next 1x !! Maybe in Vegas too, if I can cover the event for OCN. Happy Turkey day! :cheers: and good benching!! |

I keep going back and forth on insulating techniques. Stuff dies no matter how I insulate, and I've started avoiding Vaseline on mobos except in the slots - the mess on a mobo ain't worth it.
Vaseline is faster and arguably more effective, but much messier. I like it for GPU's now because the massive prep time savings vs mess hassle is worth it. But who knows how I'll feel next week? |
resale is huge imo though :D
