Pretty nice, different and depending upon the performance, innovative.

Price??? I was looking at buying a new pot, might grab it if its lower than the Gemini, :D

Thanks :)

It's definitely more expensive. It takes around ~9h of work to finish one of these babies. No offense but the base of the Gemini is done by 1h of CNC drilling holes.

Price depends on shipping but will be around 350$

beautiful work. excellent

I would prefer a pot like this :)

Thanks :D Haha not realy. He even actually stopped building pots...

Splave 05-04-2011 09:54 AM

I love how it mounts and then you put the extension on :)

Totally stopped, or just on a break? If I figured I needed a new pot, it was probably gonna be an Otti.....

If this is the quality you're kicking out, my shortlist just got longer :p

It was about 2 or 3 weeks ago. He posted on AF-Forums that he just finished his last two pots and is not going to build any more. He said that it's just not fun anymore to build them and the profit is just not worth it compared to the effort.

You can just also check my other threads e.g. on XS

kikicoco1334 05-04-2011 06:51 PM

omg that looks amazing!

Neuromancer 05-04-2011 09:17 PM

No it's more designed for chips with cb. the mass of nearly 3kg is quite massive to hold the temperature.

Well quality got it's price. And don't forget that copper is not cheap

K404 05-05-2011 10:47 AM

Send the design to Poland bro, raw stock prices seem to be cheaper over there?

MaadDaawg 05-05-2011 12:55 PM

Sweet :D

Yup.. Teh good stuff is always out of my price range. :(

Interesting, I assumed with all that surface area it was designed for wicked fast temp changes. I got a lot to learn about POTs apparently LOL

super looking forward to it!
how much are those going to be going for? i'll do the alpha/beta/delta/RC tests :D

Patch 05-05-2011 07:24 PM

I like the mounting.

Always appreciate manufacturing images. Drilling. Splashing. Who could ask for more?

Well, a naked female model or two would have been nice :P

Beautiful work mate!

Low mass + high surface = fast temp change
High mass + high surface = moderate temp change (I prefer that)
High mass + low surface = slow temp change

Especially for the start cool down you need a high surface. Otherwise it takes ages to cool down that amount of copper.

Depends on shipping. Must be around 300$. If someone would like to make a review of this pot. Price would be a lot lower. Just sayin :D

Might finish the other 3 Pots on Monday. Will take some more photos of the manufacturing then :)

I hear ya....I reckon it would be really satisfying to watch that being CNC'd :D

You're a bad influence... what kinda review you thinking of? Vs Otti Xtreme R4? Vince' Gemini? Petris Inflection Point?

I doubt that as only about 30% is done by CNC :D It starts with drilling the 17 holes which takes about an hour. Then the milling cutter which you can see on the picture removes a lot of the inside.

The result is this:
http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/...110415_006.jpg

Everything else, including the Aluminium Tops I'm doing by myself on a non-cnc turning lathe.

I'd just like to see how it performs compared to other Pots (especially Kingpin, Petri, Otti Pots). And it's better to have the opinion of somebody else about this BEAST.

Plus I'd just like to see a nice Container Review :D

K404 05-06-2011 12:05 PM

If I had any of those, i'd try and sweet-talk you into giving up a pot for review.... but I don't :(

OC Maximus 05-06-2011 10:43 PM

I would LOVE to test that pot out. Very beautiful machine work.

Mafio 05-08-2011 01:01 AM

beautiful pot, really like it.

i am game!
it's my summer break now i am giving my self to the overclocking

Neuromancer 05-08-2011 09:57 AM

limited experience on LN2 so me reviewing it would be a waste :(

I can write purdy decent though :)

kikicoco1334 05-08-2011 10:16 AM

that's why i am one of the best guy for doing this kind of job :P
i get unlimited free access to LN2 anytime during the week and take it home and swim in it :rofl
or bench it just depending on what mood i am in

MaadDaawg 05-10-2011 02:19 PM

biggest bang for your buck would be getting Splave, RomDom, Supes, or Dentlord to do the review. If they're not up to it...... Got 2 dewars and Airgas is only a mile from the house ... :D

kikicoco1334 05-10-2011 03:03 PM

or ^ that!

der8auer 05-11-2011 12:18 PM

Looks like MaadDaawg is going to do the job =)

kikicoco1334 05-11-2011 01:48 PM

i am still open for back up :D

FACE 05-12-2011 01:59 AM

That is a beautiful pot. More options when shopping for something like this will always be welcome.

I can't wait for the review pics ;)

der8auer 06-18-2011 03:15 AM

Few mins after manufacturing :)

Nice pot:)

Just a liltle off topic question.

What CNC machine are you using?

Looks like a Deckel Maho of some sort?

MaadDaawg 06-18-2011 03:31 AM

I will be posting the review of the der8auer BEAST in the very near future. Stay tuned :D
