Hey man, good to see ya around...................
Hope all is well with the project .... :) |
It would be all done but the money tree died was out of work half the year. Paying it all out of pocket trying to avoid loans an such. But getting a loan an having it done now does seem real appealing.
Wanted to get a computer job but guess benching an reading hours of computer literature dont count towards any experience lol. |
Listed my house 17 days ago, signing the contract to sell it today and should have another one built before you Gutterzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzz. Nice to see ya my man! :Hi:
|
just a quick question off the topic ...
what's the advantage of building a new house vs. buying one already build or someone already lived in it? or is it just personal preference? |
Personal preference IMO.
We had a brand new condo where we got to pick the granite for the countertops and paint etc. Now we live in a 107 year old house which we like much better |

Older homes that where maintained well offer a far better value in this econemy. |
WD has an excellent point. We bought our condo from a builder who was known for quality work and everything was fine. Several condo buildings in the area were built by another company known for shoddy construction and they had nothing but special assessments to constantly fix one thing or another.
100+ year old homes have passed the test of time. Ours was gut renovated in 1995 so all the apliances and mechanical things are up to current grade. Best of both worlds :) And the hardwood floors and trip are to die for  |

Aunt just went through this with her bathroom addition. The antiscald device is mounted right after the hot water heat and just pumps cold water into the line. Simple enough to remove and leave straight pipes since everyone uses plastic tubing nowadays |
