EVGA GTX 580 Classified released
 

Not sure when they hit, but there are now 3 or 4 versions of it available on EVGA.com.

In all my online gaming experience I just have not found any measurable difference between video cards beyond a certain point. A total waste of good money if that be your objective in my opinion. I have tried untold combinations of video cards...ATI, Nvidia, SLI, Crossfire, clocked or not and have found no real difference in game play vs just one decent mid-range card. Some may provide a prettier picture, but no advantage for game play.

I think it has a better power delivery for overclockers....

I think they may be shooting for the Lightning market share to pay for Vince and Tin ........ :laughing:

Time will tell if they start busting Linghtning world records or not with them

I have to think eVGA will get these in the hands of some skilled individuals

Two or three years ago I would have just ordered up three on release date (no 4 way back then), now <sigh> I don't have a chance in hell of buying even 1 ... sucks being unemployed and not be able to do what you want like you used to :thumbdown:

Lovin my GTX 560 Ti, lol. $600 is too much for me. I made the mistake once spending $525 on the GTX 295. Kicked myself in the ass on that purchase. The most I would be willing to pay for a GPU now is $350 with $400 being the max. If anyone has a GTX 580 they want to get rid of for one of these let me know. :D

Lol...with all the cards I have sold lately I still have three GTX 295's. :taunt:

I've got 3 evga SC 580s that I think I'm gonna put on the gamer under water. Only other cards I have is a gtx 580 lightning and a gigabyte 560ti soc. Oh, and a WC Saphhire 5870. Should sell sumptin but hate to part with right now :blink:

Let's face it guys, the MSI Lightning series is the bar, no one has played on their field for a while now, this is their first GPU entry into a card directly aimed at extreme overclocking as their past SC and FTW cards have been nice gaming cards but not nessesarily world record contenders.....

I will be putting that to the test soon as I have 2 vinnila's that will be under cold in the coming months .... just wish I was one of those modding guys as not sure how far I will get with out any hard mods .......... :ohcrap:

on vanillas you could likely get close to 925 maybe 950-975 on really good ones... Ive seen a select few breach 1000 core with highest voltage software would do.

that blows as they already do 950 on cool air ................ :shock:

i just have a Evga gtx580 superclocked and get also on air 1050 core.

I you just have a good one, you can get +1000core.

But the Classified version think it will be the new king in town

i'm curious about the GTX285 with an Untouchable on it , what it will do.

I am curious as well, that 580C looks capable enough don't it.

the GTX580 runs very cool with his new cooler.

But only no Voltage regulator in the house.

Evbot is dead, and Eleet, msi afterburner or else doesn't work for adjusting voltages.
Hope tomorrow i get a beta version for voltage adjust

Did some 3dmark11 and must say where my GTX580 superclocked did @ +1000core did P7800,
does the Classified @ 940 core P8063.

so the extra memory does pay of.

all other benchmarks i have the same scores with Classy @ 940core as my normal one did at 1050core.

Waiting still for my EVbots to arrive, eleet tuner beta with triple voltage adjust is little buggy

how big of a jump is it between the 1.5GB 580 and 3.0GB 580 at the same clock?

i would take the 3Gb for good 3dmark11 scores etc

1.5Gb is goed for fast old benchmarks, like aqua, 3d01, 3d03

damn i was hoppin just one would be good enough for all benches :P
i just got fucked over $320 so no more 580 upgrade anytime too soon

you can see my benches,

with the GTx580 superclocked 1.5Gb model i have my best scores in the older 3dmarks.
and i can't break them with the classified 3Gb model.

But the newer benchmarks i crushed them hahahaha
