I like the blue accents. Very nice, what case is it in?

ReverendMaynard 06-08-2009 12:17 PM

Thanks Kal. The first one is a TTArmour, the second in an Antec 1200.

Jeffro64 06-08-2009 12:20 PM

Welcome to the board... nice setup!

Kal-EL 06-08-2009 12:21 PM

The TT looks snug. The Evga setup with the 1200, roomy?

Much more roomy, pump and res up front. Best part of this setup is when you dismount the cpu block, the board is free to fly out.

spfoam1 06-08-2009 12:34 PM

Very nice looking.....:toast:

ReverendMaynard 06-08-2009 12:37 PM

Thanks Dr. Just sold the Extreme, C0 and some Patriots to fund some up grades. I think the eVGA board is a bit stronger on the top end, but damn I'm going to miss that Gigabyte. Brilliant bios.

Gunslinger 06-09-2009 07:13 AM

I like the dark blue and black pictures, very nice.

DrNip 06-09-2009 07:14 AM

I hear ya. I will prolly miss the DFI bios when switching to the Classified as it had a great layout as well as easy to use. Who knows, maybe the Classy will be just as good. I am thinking that I will use the Classy for strictly sub zero land and the DFI for my grocery getter.

I still miss my DFI X48 DK Plus, that thing was a beast with an 8600.

The Classy's bios is the same as the X58 Sli's, and all I can say is that it's straight forward, not close to Oskar Wu's brilliantly sophisticated creations.

punx223 06-09-2009 08:01 AM

wow very nice lookin setup.... something about tubes going every direction just looks AWESOME

Splave 06-09-2009 08:06 AM

It'd look alright with the Giga cards, but yeah it's pretty fugly.

RomDominance 06-09-2009 07:04 PM

ReverendMaynard 06-10-2009 06:39 AM

ended up with a really early D0 batch. 3844A759.

DrNip 06-10-2009 07:14 AM

Those are supposedly nice batches.

ReverendMaynard 06-10-2009 07:17 AM

from what I've read, the earlier the better. We'll see tonight. If it doesn't rol at 4.6+ HT on under water it's going through a brick wall.

DrNip 06-10-2009 08:53 AM

I am positive it will.

ocgmj 06-10-2009 08:56 AM

I want to see 4.8 :p

Bah, shoot for 5GHz validation.

RomDominance 06-10-2009 05:59 PM

I agree....its important to have modest and realistic goals.:alien:

I'm talking 4.8ghz wprime stable, validations aren't worth anything these days.

Archer 06-11-2009 06:20 AM

I will watch

I haven't really done much with Intel in the past few years so I am interested to see how much the process really differs from an AMD OC. I say run it till it wont run no more and see how long you can hold it.

ReverendMaynard 06-11-2009 06:44 AM

I'm not really sure that I'll be sharing the process...it's redundant in a site with a crew that are all capable, hard core clockers with i7 experience but it'll get pinned to the max and if I don't see smoke I know I can add more volts :)

Last AMD setup I ran was an ASUS A8R32-MVP with an opty 165 3ghz on air back when AMD was king. Still waiting for them to get their poop in a group.

Archer 06-11-2009 07:42 AM

That's cool!! I know the ropes as all are basically the same just the details that differ. I am stuck with AMD at least till the i5:D
