Finally able to put a decent session together...
Still need to run vantage. Also my GPU read point broke off before i was able to put more than 1.345 Vcore.

Odd that Gulftown would get a higher cpu score in 3d06 than Ivy, or is that how it is on Ivy?

i think it scores a lil higher but the ivy gets a better score even on 4C :shock: could be worng lol not all here :laughing:

I think i read that they both use the identically same technology. It's just the die size for Ivy is smaller.

RMA CHIP ON THE SS BLOWS BEST I CAN RUN VANTAGE IS 5.2 @ 1.65V :blink:

Well the bright side you dont need much cpu for vantage ;)
But yeah 5.2ghz hurts.
Mine only does 5.4-5.6ghz, i was going to exchange it at mircocenter but then i read on HWbot some chips wont overclock past 5ghz....
Also im probably overlooking something keeping me from a higher stable OC.

Well i was 47 points away from taking 3rd in 05 for the 9800gtx but my last 2 runs i was almost all out of dice. 2nd to last run i pulled the temps to fast and hit CB had to fire and wasted more dice. Last run i completely ran out during GT1 :thumbdown:. The card may have enough to hit 2nd
Also managed a decent 06 run but then my USB got corrupted for my 03 screenshot and haven't been able to recover it yet, for whatever reason it copy write protected its self. Have to wait till next session to see if i can improve maybe work 01 too.

So for ATI cards its better to run in w7 and does that include all the 3Dmarks? Cant remember ever benching ATI :shock:.
Ill be on 5870 lightnings single and crossfire.

1.25 feet of snow, and my snow blower is pretty much epic fail. took 3 hours to dig out the business parking lot and by that time had 2 more inches. came back this morning to do it again. sucked the energy right out of me
