Expected price point of $600? one can only hope.

Getting close to upgrade time again.

The 680's showing signs of age ?

Two of these beasts would put a hurtin on FC4

Kal-EL 01-15-2015 09:55 AM

680's still running very well actually. Current issue is this whole HDCP thing. Amazon prime is requiring it now so this old (still awesome) Apple Cinema 30" is slowly becoming useless for anything but games. Soon games will pick up the HDCP crap.

Would like to uptick to X99/New gen GPU soon.

Maybe its time for 2x24"?

Witchdoctor 01-16-2015 12:42 AM

I have a 8 core x99 set up, CPU is ridiculous for anything that can utilize the threads.

w/Prime / Cinebench monster

Not convinced any current games can do so though ?

Broadwell should be along soon, Could be interesting :)

There always is 4K screens but even (2) 980's will struggle to push one of those screens for FPS's

I think the 27" 2560x1440 PLS screens are the sweet spot for max frames and ridiculous picture quality.

Whats the going price?

Witchdoctor 01-31-2015 01:22 PM

I am afraid to ask .... :rofl

Being the Classy is 7 bills, thinking minimum of $ 800.00

But with 14/3 phase power , triple BIOS and the far out lights , it is the badest a$$ 980 out there for sure

Kal-EL 01-31-2015 02:40 PM

Errrrrrrr ouch!

Gunslinger 02-07-2015 09:23 AM

$749 was the launch price.

Witchdoctor 02-13-2015 01:05 PM

How many did you get ?

Kinda holding for the Ti , but looks like it will be a while :ohcrap:

Just know if I shell out the Ti will release a week later

Just wasted my KPE 780ti the other day
