Rampage Extreme+8200=?
 

Hey guys got a 8200 a while back and decided to see how she would fare under LN2. I dont have screenshots handy so I will reference hwbot.:thumbsup:

SETUP:
E8200 (will get batch after I break down setup) // cooled by duniek pot @ -120 to -130°C, CB@-136°C
Rampage Extreme Bios 1104 // northbridge cooled with thermalright hsf
2x1GB Corsair Dom 1800Mhz C7D's
2x1GB Kingston Elpida Hyper
Samsung 1TB sata
WD 36GB Raptor sata
ATI X800 video

Voltages: For 650fsb boot from Bios
1.91vCore
1.63vPLL
1.57vTT
1.83vNB
2.14vDimm (using corsair D9's not elpidas)


First I took a whole session dedicated to feeling out the chip and finding best settings.


Then next session I installed my 32M 2k3 OS and on the first run knocked out the Gold :trophy:. I also got a few backups in case someone tries to dethrone me :D

2k3 isnt as good for pifast or 1M but I gave those a shot too. Ended up with 5th 1M and 4th Pifast.

Next session will be in XPSP3 with fully tweaked pifast and 1M runs. I hope to grab golds for both there... Then lastly I will load vista and try out wprime and pcmark05/vantage. I have some ACARD 9010 lovin' to give this cpu hehe :laughing:

Also a tip: anyone using a 1M modded bios (to give unknown cpu boost) do not bench pifast with it. Scores suffer a little :thumbsup:

Here is the link, again ALL credit goes to Before and the guys at IxTremeTek forums. I have nothing to do with it :D

It amounts to a .15x second boost in 1M. Dont even waste your LN2 trying 32M on it tho it will kill your times. Its also only functional for 45nm wolfdale procs. Wont work with older stuffz :)

Nice chip, nearly 650 FSB PiFast is great. Btw your memory is not really running over 1000MHz, 3:5 divider is not working.

Yeah 3:5 has been bugged for a couple chipsets now. It was more like 970Mhz.

I was booting at 650 fab right from bios. No setfsb for me :P
