Why not be proud and show it off?

OCA mugs, well I suggest that cuz I want one :) (could do something slick like have it double as DIce pot or something lol jk.)

Nice quality tshirts (prefer polos myself) , or fitted caps or something.

Little logo on the front with an image on back (for tshirts) or even a polo with a small image and overclcokaholics on the front.

I would be in for some. Proceeds to go to keepign the forum alive, and could even use them as contest prizes. Lets face it, HW does not grow on trees in my neighborhood, winning a tshirt or something is a great way to feel "rewarded" and just dropping a couple of dimes for the prize :)

A poll to see what people would want (cap or golf visor) Tee or polo) as well as logo/words would be necessary, I think wordpress could handle manufacturing..

Make em moddable too, like uploading your AV for coffee mugs, with overclockaholics written underneath (great for those verification pics if you sell on other forums too ;) )

Absolutely brilliant post Neuro!! If none of you guys are photochop masters, shoot me a pom with your idea. While I have the wife in the "help OCA mood" I'll see if she won't whip some designs up. I gotta have your ideas in words or it ain't happening though.

SO damned funny, I just woke up in the middle of the night from a dream about getting some chinese kid at a t-shirt to make OCA t-shirts and beerbottle openers and dashboard stickers. It was a bizarre dream that turned into a massacre shootout and the chinese kid's Apple ibook got toasted.

We're weak in the graphical design department right now. I'll start fishing out logo designers

I had an idea awhile back I discussed with supes for the Overclockaholics logo to somehow incorporate hardware/cooling parts within the name. Say for example one of the "L" s would be like a DICE/LN2 pot or some how have water tubes running to another letter in the name. My brother in law is a graphics designer and is cold with the game but I need some ideas for him to run with.

I guess we have ourselves a design sample thread going. I'll post a few noob ones to try and get some laughs :rofl but then its up to you guys to get real with it...........................

Less is more in logo design IMHO.

I ma installing Picassa now to whip up a logo (rough sketch for John's wife to work on) as I am on WinFLP and have no MSpaint :(

That was my thinking when I created the generic logo we have now. Would like to see a little more than it though. Also we need to come up with a logo to stick in the address bar I think.

All I could come up with quickly.

What is the current logo? The header we have?

I will try and toss up some simple logo ideas for favicons too.

just so people know the requirements for favicon are

must be 16x16 pixels or 32x32 pixels, using either 8-bit or 24-bit colors. The format of the image must be one of PNG (a W3C standard), GIF, or ICO.

But cant get a benchtec one,
An overclockaholics one would be sweet
Would it say something like
' I'm an Overclockaholic ' printed/handwritten style on the front
Then just have the logo printed on the back, as its written on here?

I don't see anything wrong with the Overclockaholics logo as it is now. I think it is clean and to the point. I'm all about things lookin clean. Too much to it and it take away from the point. Not to mention it matches the theme to the point. But definitely I think the shirt, mug, lanyard or whatever should say:

Overclockaholics
Under the influence of being Over the Edge!

I'm with you Nip...clean and to the point...too much design and it will just look messy :D

I tell ya what I'd like to have. A clean looking polo with the "overclockaholics" on the front left just like our top banner. Then maybe "under the influence" on the bottom of one of the sleeves. I'll see if I can't draw something up right now.

Here's my version with the current fonts we have goin. There is a red outline on the Overclockaholics but can't see it that well on that small of a picture.
