Don’t want to be picky or anything but the first entered score uses CPUZ 1.51 instead the 1.52 stated in the rules. I don’t know how tight you are with the rules? :) Also on the top is says Core 2 Quad competition and the first entry uses a Core 2 Duo CPU. Does that mean we are allowed to use both? It’s a little misleading.

Kal-EL 07-25-2009 08:20 PM

Thx buddy, cpuz-1.52 is whats needed for the competition.
Any Core 2 cpu may enter.

There is but a single score currently posted in the core2 section and by default of only submission, ranks #1 with incorrect cpu-z. It'll soon change as people get off their duffs to submit scores.

Congrats on your premium membership btw :D

rickss69 07-25-2009 08:24 PM

I will update and re-run bench. Thanks

Roger dat homie, if the 48 hours notice comes up and passes and you're the only bencher, you'll be the defacto recipient of a brand spankin new BFG GTX285 graphics card :D

rickss69 07-25-2009 08:54 PM

Kal - Please delete the previous score as I have updated cpu-z and re-run the bench...with an improvement on the score btw. :) Thanks

Kal-EL 07-25-2009 09:19 PM

Are you deciding when the 48 hours are up or is it 48 hours from the first valid entry? If you decide you should wait until we have some more entries. It would be a shame to give this precious card away without a battle. :D:rofl

Kal-EL 07-25-2009 11:23 PM

I've done stranger things, lol.

But yah, I'll be deciding when the round is ending and provide a 48 hour window to benchers to finish up their Round 1 benches.

punx223 07-26-2009 04:05 PM

really disappointing that we have to 100 post count to enter the contest .

Do you want to open a real contest or only your active members contest ?

I think it's a invitation to everybody spam on your forum because they want to enter the contest . increasing the post count is not so hard but forum credit will increase by it members articles , discussions and ... . it's a way that you deny pro overclockers like hipro or ... to enter this contest .

It was my idea but forgive me if were rude or impolite .

You are not as far back as you think punx. 6 multi is very hard to run. It is all a balancing act. If it's any consolation, I'm having more than my share of problems at the moment.

thanks buddy... i used to be able to run 6x but this thing is as unstable as they come now.... i was able to get a halfway decent score, but i want better lol

rickss69 07-27-2009 01:04 PM

That was a very good run Rommy! Now go away...:taunt:

Try to stay positive Shahryar. Member rewards are generally based on member contributions to the community. Occasionallly, contests will be geared to the masses.
Do you want to open a real contest or only your active members contest ?
It depends on what contest I wanna run at any given time. All the contests I run are real, the prizes are real and the competitors are real. Visit the contest section on the left side bar for more details.

The rules for each contest change and since the beginning I've said "If you keep participating and contributing on the forum, I will TOO" I've also said many times "Post count requirements will continue to increase". The door for spammerz and uninvited new members has been shut. If you don't have a referal from an active member in good standing, you will not be permitted access to the forum. Read the rules of the forum if you want access to this community. If you spam because you want prizes, step off a high ledge. If you contribute because you like it here, you're post count will rise.
It was my idea but forgive me if were rude or impolite .

Thank you for you input on the way the contests are being run, feedback is important. At this time, I don't agree with you on any of your points.

Couldn't put it any better than that supes. Shahryar_NEO, I do understand your frustrations being a non-native english speaker. As Kal-EL said, we aren't here to have a bunch of spammers to increase our post count. This place was made for like minded people to have our own place to hang out, AND push people over the edge... cool2

If you look at it from another angle, the post count requirements as they keep increasing for each contest, keep the spammers away or at the least make it obvious at their motives. Thank you very much for your very valuable input. I hope that you see where we are coming from.

Shahryar_NEO 07-27-2009 11:47 PM

Thanks for you reply .

Personally I think that if it's overclocking contest it has to choice the best overclocker with only technical limitation like clock speed and ... . because your forum is friendly form and everybody checked it will love it to returned but this work in my thoughts is a filter that you can only choose your best overclocker in your active members .

btw , I'm really happy that you open many contests one after other . I try to participate on it and have a great time with my friends here :Hi:

Sorry to double post, but I think you guys would love the new HCE @hwbot. Im a member of the staff/development forums there so I can fill in some "top secret details." Please dont leak it around out of respect to hwbot crew (I only post here cuz this is a closed forum).

Members will be able to setup competitions restricting clocks, hardware, etc. Give it a customized Title (I.e. OCA 32M LCC 2009) and the winners will get specialized trophys for their hwbot profiles. hwbot sponsored contests the winners will get hwboints too (or compboints or sometihng). Its going to be a very cool platform for sure!

THx for the inside scoop brother, we're honored :D

I posted in the hwbot forums when I first caught wind of this new engine and details were pretty much SHHHHHH DON"T TELL, lol. It sounds very cool, interesting and awesome. When we first opened up shop here at Overclockaholics, we were kicking around the idea of approaching Rich to license the hwbot code for mini-competitions and to track our members benchmarks here at overclockaholics.com. If you get a chance to discuss it with him, see if it'd be feasible to implement a small engine for forums like us to have a site specific ranking system for our members.

They are going to implement a function that users can submit for verification/validation on hwbot but it will update the proper user forums, based on some sort of API set. I.e. you will submit on the bot but the "bot" will update OCA with screenshots and hardware info. Very cool idea for sure.

I would be really doubtful that RB would license the hwbot code to anyone, unless it was in a smaller restricted/neutered form. Even if he was willing to do so, hes such a busy guy you wouldnt see it till 2011 probably lol.

DrNip 07-28-2009 06:42 AM

Sweet!

karmakazi 07-28-2009 06:53 AM

Also, I sure hope my asus rampage extreme gets back in time to compete in the S775 rankings.... HURRY ASUS!

Yah, I was thinking of a small watered down engine for license to forums. But I also realized the code load he's under and said F-it, we'll keep track by hand, lol. :Dizzy:

I have a serious doudt that Shahryar_NEO time at 32M was done at 3200...No tweaks have benn made (see available memmory) and RAM are at 1200 with 5-5-5 DDR2...
Sorry to report that but i believe it is not legal (regardless of the post limit)

look at the start times
are you sure you are running LSC
sorry to ask but the difference is astonishing to me

start time is an indication of LSC not running or being at much different clocks. i cant think of of others unless you are really working on some weird wazza but why such a huge difference

I'm afraid I must concur...

rick why dont you test with XP man
why are you wasting those prescious seconds on W7?

dinos22 07-28-2009 05:11 PM

i think when you start getting low 13m times you are on the right path basically so there is a lot more tweaking required to get there
