How Long and Which is Your Favorite?
1 Attachment(s)
I got two questions for you guys.
1. How long have you been benching? 2. What is your most treasured score? I'll start it off. 1. I have been benching as a serious hobby other than testing an overclock for a little over a year now. I know, not very long ohcrap 2. My favorite score isn't near my highest. It is my favorite because I scored higher than I thought I could and I put so much effort into it. It is my best run during our 2k1 contest. I spent sooo many hours into getting this best run. This run and the contest gave me more confidence than any other to date. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9510115 http://www.overclockaholics.com/foru...1&d=1248743815 |
Started benching in late 2003.
Fav, would have to be e6300 on a POS 945 chipset mobo with a x1950 xt Stock bench in 06 was around 4kish IIRC. I OCed and tweaked and benched. Got up to 6930 or something like that. I refused to stop till I got at least 7000. Took a solid week but I did it. 5 days from 6790 to hit 7000. (Was my first C2d) http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u.../7000small.jpg e6300 at 3360 x1950xt @ 688/981 Do not remember the rest. |
Well, Mr. Survey, I've been benching for a lil while and my proudest score is 25k with SLI 8800 ultras :D

1. How long have you been benching?
Three years now. I did some back in the day in 2002 but a few bad decisions dampened that until just recently in the last few years. 2. What is your most treasured score? 3DMark 06 30k run with two vanilla GTX 260 192's. I hit 30k just messin around with a mild overclock with my 4890's when I had them for a few days but that was with 3 cards. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=11485796 http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...rk06_sli-1.jpg |
1.) Just got serious about benching in April of this year when I got this i7 rig. It was only after that, I discovered there was actually a venue for posting scores and competing in this hobby. "So cool ! "
I have dabbled in OC'ing since the mid 90's starting with a Pentium 233. 2.) My favorite score would have to be my 300K AM3, for the same reason as Chuchnit, it's the one I worked hardest for. I had to do alot of digging and reading even to get it to run. I got some help from Rev @ NBOC that pushed me over. (Thanks Revvy) |

Been a casual overclocker for three years until the beginning of this year.
Don't have a particular run in mind, but I do like A3 because it's short and sweet. http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/q...1Jul272048.jpg |
hee hee Man I remember when AM3 was not short and sweet. That particle test in the beginning (the plume of smoke out of the vent) would hit single digits :p

Started benching in the fall of 2006.
Probably most proud of my single card 32108 run in 3DM06. I still remember running 06 for the first time on my old Dell pc and scoring around 4K. I look forward to a top 10 single card run very soon. :D |
1) Been overclocking since the days of changing crystals to change frequency
2) Favorite score has to be when i finally broke into the 7's in superpi 1m |
1. Been overclocking for about a year.
2. wprime is my favorite bench but hitting 350k in AM3 was pretty awesome. |
I've been overclocking for about 1.5 Years now.
My most proud momoent was not a single bench but when I took top score in the Forum Wars winter Wars UX class against some top OCers. |
