Cooking with LN2

The other day I was surfing a few youtube videos and came across one by Ferran Adria - Cooking with LN2. After watching this I thought ... hey that looks pretty easy to do, I bet Ferran charges a ton for his stuff.

So being in a goofy mood I thought let’s give this a try.
Many think that I am just not right using LN2 with computers, and they are right but I went what the heck.

How after watching this you can see that you too can do this at home, it’s not hard !

Invite some friends over, impress your girlfriend, show off at your next BBQ, show them that you are not just a computer geek but a high end cook that creates futuristic deserts.
You can add this to your resume for when you try and break into the cooking academy for that job you have been try to get.

I have also included a special desert for the kiddies, they will love it !!!

So let’s round up your friends and family … get ready to Cook With LN2 !!!

Note: Please be careful when cooking with LN2, it is very cold. Do not stick your fingers into any foods to give it a taste !

Renee really didn’t want to help me out with this, but she got into it and had fun. Thanks Renee !!!

Quite the departure from your everday LN2 session eh Bill? :headspin:
I enjoyed the video. I'm surprised the spoon didn't get too cold
to touch. I also didn't know they put coconut juice in a can like
that, lol. I have to know what frying pan that is because there
wasn't a sinlge scratch on it after all that stirring. :good: If I could
make a request that you attach a temp probe to the bottom of
your pan during the next "Cooking with Billy" show cool2 We all
know how critical temps are and I'm sure that pot er PAN! has
minimal swing.

Thank you Bill for sharing :Hi:

LOL scratches on the pan, like I care HAHA
Actually that pan is very old, I wash it in the dish washer also, I know I live on the edge :)

ahhh I knew I was missing a probe, good catch !!

Punx that was like 100% pure vodka so I am sure it had a pretty strong taste :)

ahhh... so you didnt eat it?

btw ashley was ready to frek out when she heard the matal spoon on the pan, and i was laughing, and i pretty much said exatly what you said "like he cares"

Ash needs to lighten up ! LOL j/k

I know she would kill if she saw anyone leaving there cast iron frying pans in the sink with water left in it :)

I actually treat my cast iron ware very good as I have had my set for a very long time, they are well oiled and kept clean, never in the dish washer and only washed by hand :)

Kal-EL 08-12-2009 05:37 AM

I should have known it was cast iron, nothing beats cast iron. I thought maybe it was them teflon coated pans I get from Wal-Mart. lol.

punx223 08-12-2009 06:10 AM
