Huge problems overclocking GeForce 6200 AGP

Hi all,

i am having terrible problems OC'ing my Geforce 6200 AGP. The default clocks are 350/500 and i am trying 450/500 with a vmod. The problem is that my clocks always return to stock when loading a 3D mark test or a test gets stuck in the middle. I dont see any artefacts and i dont have a vdrop or a OCP problem. Just the &*"!°? drivers. I tried 77.xx drivers, 99.xx drivers and 163.xx drivers and the problem is always the same... I also tried different versions of Riva tuner and the problems presists... I also tried flashing the bios changing the 3D clocks and i get artifacts when entering windows... Well more than artifacts i see only random dots on the screen... When i enter win in safe mod or i dont have drivers installed everything works fine in 2D. Any ideas ?

Try a smaller OC? 30% is HUGE for a vid card

I dont think that OC is the problem... Ppl pull over 600 on NV43 core which has more pipelines and resistors... This is a "ECO" core that can run in passive mode... I have seen 720Mhz on core on this particular card...

It might be a cooling problem. Have you check the heat sink mount?

i agree it sounds like temps

Temps under 30 degrees, i mounted a HR 05 chipset cooler on it with a high RPM fan...

Problem solved: I used the "Force performance level to 3D" in riva tuner so the stupid drivers dont change the frequency and everything is perfectly stable now at 575/760

Nice Josifek, Glad you solved it.
