759 died, any way they wont try to send me a 760?
I hear stories how they are saying the 760 is faster anyways when people complain about not getting a 759 back from rma.
Being $50 more I would like another 759 or if kal wanted to trade my dead board for the 4xsli I would think about doing that ;) Any advice? Oh and the problem with the board is you have to put massive pressure on the bios chip to get it to boot, soon as you let go, frozen :Dizzy: |
Have you tried pulling the chip and reseating it?
|
Did you bend the pins on the bios chip? Might be able to just get them to express you a new chip for free.

no its not bent, I pulled it out to try and re-seat it and looked fine. Weird though all of a sudden its doing this?
|
See any corrosion in the socket?
I would think it would either be a dirty connection, or a cold joint in the socket. I would take alcohol + toothbrush to the socket and pins, let it dry, then hith the back of the board with a heat gun for a couple minutes..... Then rma land! |
Well, they are easily bent and fragile lil things. Call EVGA and see if they'll ship out a new chip lickidy splits, its cheaper for them and less frustrating for you if the chip just needs replacing.

told them my situation and they just said send the board :(
sucks to have a w3570 just sitting on my desk |
Did they say if you'd get a 759 in return? Or if they're just gonna switch the bios chip and send it back?
Bummer :( |
To many versions of ths board and Buckeye is old :)
Is this the very first Classified ? I have one thats I need to get resetup and checked out as it was giving me major problems with, well just about everything LOL |
