I thought my chillers were nutty
This dude is using a standard water cooling set up. Loop is filled with str8 acetone.
Puts the radiator in a cooler with some acetone an dumps about 10lbs of Dice in the cooler . Crazyness, I dont know if statice electricity would ignite the acetone but dam. http://www.overclock.net/dry-ice-liq...y-testing.html |
Ya know in my last session I ended up somehow getting acetone all over the socket and even in it. No fire, no damage, no nothing other than random reboots until I noticed the problem. Maybe the acetone isn't as flamable at low temps???
|
Just like gasoline, liquid acetone is not flammable...but the vapors are explosive. At low temps it is probably not really that big of a risk. Just don't let any leak out onto something hot and then meet a spark.
On the other hand I don't think I'd use it without a good fire extinguisher CLOSE BY. Only an addict would risk life, limb, and house. Way to go Chuch! |

But now thanks to you three jackfruits, when I drive down the road or getting ready to fall asleep, I think about settings I should try on my next session  |
