OS Install Sizes + Bench Apps
 

All installs sizes on disk are without any drivers, windows updates or bench/3rd party apps. Note: Each os has a 4096mb paging file which can be reduced to your liking.

Windows XP SP3 KN install size on disk: 5.08Gb

XS OS: 2.5Gb

Personal Stripped 3D XP: 4.9Gb

Windows XP SP3 X64: 5.68Gb

Server2003x86: 5.34Gb

Server2003x64: 5.76Gb

VistaUtimatex32:11.4Gb

VistaUltimatex64:12.1Gb

Server2008x86:11.7Gb

Server2008x64:14Gb

Windows7Starter:9.01gb

I posted this information up so that people planning a multi-boot setup can gauge how much disk space will be needed for each os + whatever benchmark apps and drivers they intend to install. Hope it helps some peeps. :thumbsup:

Note: Installation of all 3Dapps------ 01,03,05,06,Aquamark3 and Pcmark05 take up about 2.69Gb more on the disk.

Yeah thanks! Are those stripped versions of the OS or from retail disk? Seems like when I installed Vista Ultimate x64 it wanted like 20gb?

The sizes depicted above that do not denote "Stripped" or "anything custom" are retail installs size taken up on disk.

I believe the KN depiction on the os means that no media player or messenger is included on the install.
