The Gator/me & Pops
 

Took my Pop Fishing in the shallows today..We got hung into some largemouth Bass and then it came...

About a 4 to 5 foot gator..They are the worst at that size..NO FEAR..It refused to let me or my Pop cast in his hole..I had caught 2 about 4 LBS and i wanted my Pop to hook one....
He finally hooked one and the gator bit the line before he could bring it in....

I guess by all rights he was there before us...My neighbor heard me asking the gator nicely to exit the area and took a pic from his dock and sent it to me....

My POP got a few good pics....

My Dad got some i think..He was to busy freakin out..he is a country boy...He must have asked me 10 times why i didn't have a gun:laughing:

I told him we were in his world...Where i live the gulf gets brackish in the shallows and they come in there...I was working on my Dock one day and had a 8 footer watching me from about 30 feet...The big ones are layed back..You can raise your voice and they will leave but the young ones want to tangle....

The upside was watching my Pop giving it a lecture and telling the gator what he was going to do to it...:laughing:

It was just luck that my neighbor heard my Dad and got his camera....Just sent me the pic.....

You should of given your dad a nice set of boots LOL

He had the orr once and i had to tell him to put it down...I asked him did he think that there was only 1 gator???:laughing:

He lives in Va and just can't grasp the concept of a creature that could actually bite the hell out of you....:Dizzy:

The Gator Hunter came in about 6 months ago...I saw this 350 LB guy with a 110 LB guy in a little boat setting traps..The nexy day i went out there in my boat to watch and they had a MONSTER...8-10 ft...I thought he was going to eat both of them..Somebody had reported it...

I felt sorry for it so i was giving them siht and the fat guy got Pissed....I really enjoyed it...

Cool pics lakeside!! I about killed my wife when I found out she let my bullmastiff swim in the channels by her grandmothers house. Dumb dog was diving and picking old beer bottles off the bottom :laughing: This was in Melbourne, FL btw.
