Ghetto rigged ftw

After Building my gaming computer with money from my summer job and not really bothering to overclock it because of how great it is already I still needed to fill that gap inside that wants to overclock. Now being a high school student and only having small time jobs leaves me tight on what I can spend on pc stuff. So with that said I have built a ghetto rigged test bench that will be used to push old tech and prob new tech (when I get the money haha) to its brink lol.

Now she isn't pretty and consists of my old parts from the old reliable case but its gonna be interesting hah.

I feel like the bum of overclockaholics, just collecting peoples old parts to overclock them lmfao.

+1 for the purple board

+ 10 for the hot rod rack ....

I made my own rack as well. These racks are so rudementary I can not see buying one

My next project is to make one that is mobile like yours .....

Clock it up and lay donw the boints .......................:cool3:

Nick232 01-31-2010 04:10 AM

Yes they are pricey I couldn't see spending money on something I could build.
And Yes I would also like to make a new one better than this and seeing that my grandfather was a machinest(sp) he still makes things today and has most of the equipment(ie. metal lathe, bench drills, precision tools) I want to make an aluminum one since he can get me the materials haha.

Witchdoctor 01-31-2010 04:44 AM

I used ready rod for my uprights, makes it very simple check out rack um up thread for details

Not very mobil .............LOL

Nick232 01-31-2010 05:04 AM

Yeah iv'e seen it before its indeed epic and not mobile haha.

I would like to do some cooling like that it would be sick but it looks insanely hard hah.

Witchdoctor 01-31-2010 05:07 AM

Yea with the rod and some light weight material for the decks though one could be made easily for benching on the run ....

Nick232 01-31-2010 05:10 AM

Yeah it doesn't seem to hard to build but I was talking about your cooling setup haha that looks hard
