Test your board first
I was looking through pictures of rigs I have made when I came upon these. Building this system took many days. I hate to recall how much time I spent putting all this together. The odd looking reservoir was a 2.5 gallon water bottle with about 2" of polyurethane foam insulation. My hope was to capture all world records.
Unfortunately, my new motherboard was DOA. :argh: Test your motherboard before you add custom cooling. :ash1: I hope this will help someone else avoid a similar situation. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...rdprep3011.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...dicator005.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...nestines3B.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...reservoir2.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...seModdong2.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...on/Mosfet2.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...on/NB-PCIE.jpg |
Haha, that reservoir looks like a mutant pineapple!

I sent Steve a schematic of a pineapple and he found that it had peculiar coolant properties and created this thing :rofl
Excellent point on checking for doa mobo, gpus and the like before heading for the pineapple fields. :D |
