I came into an i7 860 I the form of a swap due to a goof on an order for a customer.

Should I sell the chip and stick to x58?

OR....

Should I keep the chip and grab the ~$200 P55 FTW and run with that?

The chip should sell nicely because it has never been mounted. I had to open the box because, well, as we all know, you HAVE to cuddle with new hardware.

there are many options....

the I7 1156 are not as strong clockers from my experience.... but if you get the P55 classified then you can pick up a cheap little clarky and really have some fun :ohcrap:



EDIT: DO NOT ditch X58 for 1156 by any means
