Borrowing Juans pot for a bit... and got about 6-8 cards to pound through that I want to vmod...

I expect I need ramsinks... or do I ? At least for VRMs? :ohcrap: I dunno...

couple 7600gts.
couple 7800gts
7900gt, 9500gt,
and maybe a 7900GS... (not two.. lost the other one)

vrms prolly but ramsinks dont' think so. Dice or Ln2?

Dentlord 03-29-2010 03:44 AM

The ram is right next to the pot and usually is cold as hell, especially on ln2. I put them on sometimes, but have never had a problem if i didnt.

Ram sinks only needed for air. You should ALWAYS use VRM sinks. ;)

I use this sekisui #5760

No clue what the temp range is on it though.

def need VRM sinks, the cold will keep the RAM cool enough, also remember GPU RAM especially GDDR3 has a habit of not liking the cold. -60c and lower in most cases

Neuromancer 04-07-2010 04:43 PM

So just cover the RAM with eraser? Or leave the tops exposed.

Once the gpu pot gets here going to have to decide if I am going to DIce it or try LN2.
