Dat Fatboy Be HUMONGOUS
Finally got my fatboy insulated and mounted to the card :) It's sitting in the slot but I can't run it yet cause I can't find my vaseline :ohcrap:
Ended up wrapping the entire pot with blue tape, then armalex (cut outs for the fittings etc), then a sheet of frost king all the way around too  That did a pretty good job of eating up most of the gap but I erasered the fitting around the copper block then stuffed eraser into the sides and bottom and top after mounting the pot to the card. Used 13 copper moffset blocks, 6 black aluminum chip sinks, and 7 low profile memory chip sinks. Looks pretty bad ass :D As soon as I can find a black Sharpie so I can write MD on it I'll take a pic  added: I broke my favorite insulating tool right at the end :ohcrap: my wooden chopstick snapped right in half dammit :D |

Thanks Splave :) I'll look better once I find a black marker to put the MD on the exposed frost king :D Off to the store today to buy some more vaseline and shop towels... then... ready to fire her up :muaha:
Here's a shot with her companion in crime :scared: PS. I've noticed many of you have removed your RAM fans, I suspect that's because they have a tendency to pull vapors down onto the ram, and thus exposing the unused slots to possible condensate. I've taped over the empty slots and put eraser over the tape and against each side of the Ram sinks, so I'm thinkin I'll be ok ??? One of these days I'll try my RAM Pot by KP, but not this time ;) |
Vaseline in hand... soon to be in slot.
New shop towel supply in house countdown to begin soon :D |
Git er dun, start a new thread on your progress and post up them benchies ;)
