Free shipping for A/C units.

Ok air-aholics... This is a sweet deal. Those damn things are heavy, so if you were thinking about an air, or even water, A/C mod then now is the time to jump on it! Time to get your homebrew on!

The email said ALL a/c units, but some on the site are still marked $20. Still cheap! :Hi:

That one in particular looks like a win-cicle. 10k btu and under $200.

I use mine for air cooling and sub zero support ftw... blowing cold air across the ram and nb helps max bclk on locked chips a ton, even when the pot or ss are mounted... worth the $$$ and modding effort.

Wow  sweet find FACE!

These units are much smaller than the a/c chiller hack I made the other year, perfect for chiller modding and CHEAP! :good:

bought a unit at Costco last year. 8k that does an okay job... room is only 8x8. Thinking of moving to a 12K unit though..

good link

Heh, and here I was under the impression that the AC Unit had to be custom tailored to cool a PC properly. What sort of tubing would you need to mount the unit properly?

For a chiller conversion or just air ducting?

Chiller conversaion

FACE 06-20-2010 02:55 AM

Chiller is for w/c, but you will need air ducting for your rig ;)

Dryer vent hose works great. If you are lucky, you may find some old car wash vacuum hose like i did... thick rubber hose doesn't condensate as quickly. It's pretty hard to find though. Well, find and not pay an arm + leg for it.
